Rep. Trey Gowdy grilled FBI Director James Comey on the several intelligence leaks that made headlines this year.
The leaks to the liberal media were meant to damage Trump administration officials.
Rep. Gowdy: I thought it was against the law to disseminate classified information. Is it?
Director Comey: Oh yes. It’s a serious crime.
Gowdy then reminded Comey that the Obama officials who leaked the classified information face up to ten years in prison.

Comey has no interest in investigating any leaks. He’ll ignore any of that or any look into the Clinton Foundation. He has his marching orders from the Deep State to take down Trump. AG Sessions is beyond useless, might as well have Lynch still in the post.

Yep. I’m impressed with his verbal skewering, but it never graduates to anything more. When we want to give these guys a good scolding, Trey is our guy.
When he was a prosecutor, he was quite effective. He is now a member of Congress and has no executive or judicial authority. What would you have him to do. The last time I checked, President Trump is the head of the executive branch and the Attorney general is Jeff Sessions.

I have been trying to figure that out too. He must have some dirt on President Trump is all I can guess. He should have been fired Jan 20. If Trump does not fire him soon it will be a big mistake.
I am with you on points one and two. President Trump’s enemies are a cancer to him. They have sworn to do him in. As any cancer allowed to go unexcised will eventually kill its host.President Trump, if he is to survive has to start fighting back. He needs to counter attack as viciously as he has been attacked. I, too do not understand why he keeps Comey. I hope that he isn’t, but I have not been convinced that in the end, the question will be settled with gunsmoke. The Globalists are not going down without a physical fight.
Your point is completely valid. Remember that our Congressional leadership does not always back the members who dare to act boldly. I suspect that if given a go ahead and promise of backing, Gowdy would move much more decisively.

I'm guessing it's the keep your enemies closer bit. Some you cast off immediately, others you may want to keep an electron microscope on so you can throw every book at them and put them away for as long as possible.
I watched some of the testimony and came away with the feeling there is something really sick about the way Comey is approaching this. He’s quick to dismiss Obama wrongdoing but to leave a cloud on Trump.

I agree, he should have been shown the door, but I do not think Trump has the power to do so. Also, I was thinking that having Comey do the investigations, takes away a big Dem/Media template, that can be used in the future.
When the investigations are done and nothing is found, the Dems/Media cannot say that the outcome was decided by a Trump appointee. They can't say it was a cover-up/white-wash, etc. They will try, of course, but with Comey, an Obama appointee, who obviously, has favored Dems in the past, it will be hard to do.
