~The FReeper Canteen Presents~ Road Trip: Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana Malmstrom Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base in Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana, United States. It was named in honor of World War II POW Colonel Einar Axel Malmstrom. It is the home of the 341st Missile Wing (341 MW) of the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). Malmstrom AFB is one of three US Air Force Bases that maintains and operates the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. The 341st Missile Wing reports directly to Twentieth Air Force at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. It is part of Global Strike Command headquartered at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. The Air Force has made significant strides and commitments in its efforts to extend the service life of the ICBM force with nearly $6.2 billion committed to life-extension programs. The result is tangible improvements to the combat capability of Malmstrom's Minuteman IIIs, none of which could be accomplished without the hard work of group's 520 maintenance troops. Those current and future improvements aim to extend the service life of the Minuteman III through 2020. The 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron maintains the immediate launch readiness of 150 Minuteman III ICBMs and 15 missile alert facilities spread over a 13,800-square mile complex. They replace limited life components, remove and replace missiles, reentry systems and guidance sets; repair security, command and control, electrical systems and environmental control systems. Technicians also conduct periodic maintenance inspections and perform corrosion control work to sustain launch facilities and missile alert facilities. The 341st Security Forces Group, the largest security forces group in the Air Force, ensures the most stringent security forces' support to the largest intercontinental ballistic missile complex in the world through effective management of all war-fighting and peacetime security taskings assigned to the 341st Missile Wing. The units of the 341st Security Forces Group include the 341st Security Forces Squadron, the 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron, the 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron and the 341st Security Support Squadron. Learn More About Malmstrom Air Force Base HERE!! FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT~Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above. I hope someone else has ideas because I’m the last person anyone should ask, computer dummy that I am. LOL! I’ve learned how to fake my way through most everything. :-)
I also know nothing about Macs.

I think that hurricane season was when my son was stationed at Patrick AFB in FL and went through three out of the 4 that hit his general area. And all they lost was a bush. They have learned a few things about building houses in FL over the years!
I hope this one isn’t one of those for the history books! I’m pretty sure you and Penny are SO over ice and snow and losing heat and other “fun” stuff!

If the 80s or low 90s would be the extent of the heat, I wouldn’t mind at all! It’s the higher ones that we have to look forward to that make me cringe!
I did get him out for that, for which I was realy surprised. I figured when he saw the door closed he’d start digging at the carpet to get in, but when I opened the door when I was done, he was patiently sitting in the hall with his paws tucked under him. Just gave me “the look”. It’s his turn to watch out for me tonight. I tell ya....it’s a plot! LOL!
I hope the cold isn’t as bad as the drama kings and queens at the weather bureau are dramatizing about. Y’all need some heat so the irises will bloom.

Yeah, y’all could have a rough summer ahead. Hot, hot, hot.
Our temps this week aren’t unusual for this time of year. The warmth we’ve had is what’s abnormal and it made things come to life too early. It wouldn’t be a problem otherwise.
At least Peaches behaved himself rather than tear things up. Did you expect anything other than “the look” when you opened the door again? LOL

I’ve had the Hanover nest up for a while now. Poor Liberty keeps getting encased in snow. She just shook it off for the second time and is getting covered again quickly. I checked the radar and there’s a LOT more snow on the way.
This happens at least once every year so she’s used to it. Still no fun for her though.

I expected him to strut into the room with his very long tail straight up, glare at me and then jump up on the bed. But he didn’t do that. At least not straight away. :)
I’m glad we’re not having that snowstorm! Brrr! ML...batten down the hatches. If it’s not there, it will be! :)

Whoa! He didn’t jump up on the bed? I figured he did that after giving you “the look”. A bed with fresh linens is usually a kitteh magnet. LOL
I’m glad we’re not getting that snow storm too. Poor Liberty is completely encased in snow again, only 45 minutes after the last shaking off. Only her head is visible, barely. BRRRRRR!

I saw that. I can’t watch long...I get the shivers! LOL! But the wind must be blowing the snow off of the Trio one. They’ve had a lot of snow, but last time I looked, she didn’t have any covering her.
Whoaaaaaa....hubby just told me that Peaches went out! I wondered why he wasn’t in here bugging me when I was trying to type. I have a clean AND a no-kitty bed! LOL! Poor babies.

I had to put a sweater on. LOL! All that snow and the wind roaring gave me goose bumps. But for her, it acts a bit like insulation. I just hope she hasn’t filled the egg cup with snow when she’s shaken off, which she just did again.
I noticed the snow started disappearing from the trio nest when the wind changed direction earlier. Sure has been ruffling Momma’s feathers. That makes me colder than seeing snow piled up on her. brrrrr!
Well lucky you! A clean bed kitty-free tonight! Sometimes luck smiles down on ya. :-)

It does! It probably means I'll have both of them tomorrow. LOL! The wind is making me shiver too! Plus watching all that snow swirling around. Brrrr!
Do you watch the one on the CHANNEL ISLANDS...called the Saues Eagle Nest. She has two eggs now, but had earlier laid 5, all of which broke overnight. They have now speculated rather than it being some sort of pesticide, that there was an intruder of some kind coming into the nest and breaking them. These two eggs have been on the nest for a few days and seem fine, so far. Yay!

LOL! Yep, you probably WILL have both of them tomorrow night.
Hadn’t heard about the Channel Islands nest. I’ll check it out.
If they lost that many eggs so quickly, a critter is probably a good bet. Raccoons, possums, and other varmints are bad about eating eggs. There’s video of a white-tailed eagle nest overseas one night when a critter showed up to steal eggs. Hope whatever ate these eggs doesn’t get the other two.

Good morning and ((HUGS))
We have a nasty mess. Slush and more slush. Hubby went to work, which took him over an hour (usually 35 minutes), only to find that the boss is telling people not to come in. So, after sharing a cup of coffee with the boss, hubby will be heading home.
How did you fair, radu?

Just wanted to share with you a warm-n-cozy...
roads are a mess...slush...slush...slush, so when I saw the alert that Fed. government was delayed 3 hours, I got butterflies from thinking, “I don’t have to worry about that anymore”. LOL
