14 million that weren’t paying into the system? How many were illegals? How many will go back to their home country?

ACA was originally sold to us as a cost control bill, not a coverage bill. in fact, it was specifically denied that it was a coverage bill.

Knock, knock anyone home? Having super high deductibles which are never met by the majority of participants in 0Bummercare does not make one insured if they can never use the insurance in the first place. Just because you have a card doesn’t make one insured. So what is the difference if you can never meet your deductible cap and being uninsured?

Uh! Obummercare! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!

Since it won’t be mandatory, a lot of those people will CHOOSE not to buy it.

What do you expect will happen when you remove the mandates and penalties for people to purchase health insurance?

Take away the mandate, leave the rest in place, open the free market to sell insurance in any of the states if they meet the Dept of Insurance regs in that state. Folks can make their own choices and the market will set the price.

Most of the 14 million are the young insureds with a gun to their head through the mandate. They are provided a choice. They can still choose to be insured and under the new plan they are further incentivized to insure with 25% more in tax credits than they had in subsidies and can pick a plan that more suits them. Bottom line not 1 person on medicaid thru Obamacare will lose insurance and everyone in the country even those with preexisting conditions has access to universal insurance at affordable rates. If they do not want it, that is their choice.

Yep, Medicaid expansion numbers. Last I heard far less than 1 million were actually buying an ACA policy and actually paying for it w/o a welfare subsidy. And those people would be better off with an open market policy.

The unemployed, who need affordable health insurance the most, will be able to afford the least.
