LMAO!!
I just get fed up with GOP'ers, especially FReeper ones, who fall into the Liberal Trap of wringing our hands in contrite fear at the slightest hint of rough water. Good grief, this is sausage making. Blood sausage! Grow a pair, I say, toughen up and damn the torpedoes.
We have a real president now, and fighting is his favorite skillset. Get used to the flying fur and screaming weenies, it's only going to escalate as the pile of bodies he stands astride continue to lift Trump to new heights.
Still not tired. SNTOW.
One last time. I'll type S L O W L Y for you:
The GOP know that no Dem will vote for this, so they have to do it in a way that does not allow the Dems to filibuster, or to stop the measure with less than 60 votes.
By doing the initial phase as "Reconciliation," the Dems are prevented from filibustering (Senate Reconciliation Rules forbid it), and the measure needs only 51 votes to pass.
Another thing, however, forbidden under the Reconciliation Rules is "Repealing" any Law. This is why the first phase only "amends it" to remove the Individual Mandate, the Penalty Structure, and the funding for the non-Medicare/Medicaid portions.
In brief, to ensure that they can deliver this en toto, the GOP wisely did this under Reconciliation. That requires it be done in three concurrent phases.
Grow the eff up. Learn to be patient (a whole week or two!). Learn to trust your president. He has earned that much.

Tactical error. Makes him look like a dunce, or even worse, a sell-out, for supporting a plan that is the evil twin of Obamacare.
I'm afraid it's exactly what it looks like. President Trump stuck himself to a tar baby by coming out in support of this monstrosity.
I’m not as sure as you, but we will see I guess.
Sausage making?
So, the intended allegory was that, while getting the job done may be messy, we can have faith in the result if we just have a strong stomach.
You dig, babe?
He likely was. He rushed out to endorse it, then sent Kellyanne, who I think knows better, to double down on that.
Remember, during the primaries, he endorsed a form of universal coverage, and "the government will pay for it."
“Repeal every word of Obamacare”
OR
“Everybodys got to be covered...the governments gonna pay for it.”
This bill does nothing to repeal any of the worst facets of Obamacare, but just rewrites some of them.
Send over the bill they sent to Obama last year.
During the campaign, he talked about sending illegal aliens home, then letting them back in -- which is touchback amnesty (something we stood together to oppose in 2007.) Yet people got zotted for saying so.
He stated he believes government has a role in healthcare.
Yes. "Everyone will be covered. The government will pay for it."
With a Trillion dollar stimulus waiting in the wings
The 0bama "stimulus" and the Hitlery "stimulus" proposal put together. Didn't work the last time.
with childcare
Paid leave, Ivanka's pet idea. How much will that cost businesses, big and small, all across America?
But if you oppose that, you're "not a real conservative."
EXACTLY!
I'm just looking at this straight on, with no filters.
The President is openly supporting a plan that runs directly contrary to the wishes of those who voted him into office. I fail to see how some are reading that as political jiu jitsu. Looks more like a political pratfall to me.
3 small simple questions (Pat. Pend :-))
1. What Do You Want?
2. How Do You Get It’
3. (most important and hardest) Then What Happens?
He said “people would be dying in the streets,” if we didn’t have single payer socialized medicine.
Lies.
I remember that quote and it had nothing to do with single payer.
Whine if you must, but whine truthfully.
I don’t think he was writing about this monstrosity.
Yes, yes, I get it. You two are still butthurt over the primaries.
The fact that you’re eagerly embracing NYT fake news from weeks ago, distortions of Trump’s words from the primary debates, and outright misquoting without even the fig leaf of an ellipse proves that clear enough.
Get over it.
I’m not exactly a babe, but I dig. Thanks for the explanation.
Do you really believe that there will be subsequent bills? Really?
