Defense Minister to VP Pence: “We Expect to See US Embassy in Jerusalem Soon”

Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman told Vice President Mike Pence on Tuesday night that he “expects to see the U.S. Embassy at its new location in Jerusalem soon”.

The comment came on the heels of a factfinding mission by two Republican senators to Jerusalem last weekend. The members of the House Subcommittee on National Security affirmed during the trip, which included scouting locations for the embassy, that President Donald Trump would not veto the Jerusalem Embassy Act when it comes up for review again in May.

Liberman and Pence met at the White House during Liberman’s short visit to Washington and discussed issues affecting Israel, the US, the Middle East and the American Jewish community, including the recent rise of anti-Semitism and the threat of Iran. While the embassy was mentioned, it was not the main focus of the meeting.

Liberman thanked Pence for the vice president’s strong condemnation of a wave of anti-Semitic incidents in the US, noting appreciation for Pence’s personal visit to a Jewish cemetery in St. Louis that had been vandalized.

I'm not sure why any of that would matter to me.

My Irish ancestors probably would have loved to see London burned to the ground with everyone in it. I'm not quite so radical, though.

Your Irish ancestors and all the Muzzies, just like with Jerusalem. If you find comfort siding with the Muslims, maybe you should look elsewhere for political camaraderie.

I’ll look for political camaraderie wherever the hell I want. That’s why my Irish ancestors came over here.

May 24th: Jerusalem Day, the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem.

Instead of the usual veto, how about an announcement of the new address.

That would be great and go a long way toward MAGA.

The heads that haven’t already, will explode.

Can’t wait.

People just don’t realize the connect between America and Israel. Even measurements speak:

1776 ft = 541 m
