Freshman Representative Moira Walsh (D- Providence) joined Matt Allen on WPRO to talk about a wide range of issues - including minimum wage and women's issues. It was a comment at the end of the hour long interview, however, that has garnered attention.
When asked by Allen what she found most surprising at the State House, Walsh said, "The drinking. It is the drinking that blows my mind. You can not operate a motor vehicle when you've had two beers but you can make laws that effect people's lives forever when you're half in the bag? That's outrageous!"

I am sure her felloe law makers are very happy with her for speaking the truth.
Er ah, er ah, who says you can't legislate when you're half in the bag?
Dean Woermer was wrong. You CAN go through life fat, drunk and stupid.
Politics ~ hock spit ~
LOL - Welcome to world of politics darlin. Anyone who’s spent anytime around legislative chambers has seen this. It was politicians who invented the 4 martini lunch.
Silly little girl....would she rather the hacks and rump swabs molest lil’boys or girls like they do in D.C.? Rhode Island is just as corrupt as Massachusetts is . Entrenched from in every agency . the only thing that bothers me is I bet ya 100.00 dollars the TAXPAYER bought the booze and these scumbags probably took a van to New Hampshire to avoid taxes...like the rep’s in Massachusetts do....
That’s not FAIR, Senator Ted Kennedy has been Sober for almost 8 years now.
LOL!
Freakin hilarious!
Does she not know how she got voted into office?
If I lived in Rhode Island I’d drink like a fish too. Heck I’m in VT and I’m seriously thinking about taking it back up again.
Note to Hillary: get out of Chappaqua and move to Rhode Island!
Well, no need to have embalmed him I imagine.
+1.
Full of Democrats dealing with the constant lying that is part of their job description. Some people can’t lie that much sober and need a crutch to get through the day.
Anyone acquainted with the habits of the criminal element will recognize the partying as that of a gang celebrating as they divvy up their loot.
