Heres the problem with the story connecting Russia to Donald Trumps email server
theintercept.com ^ | November 1 2016

ON MONDAY NIGHT, Slate’s Franklin Foer published a story that’s been circulating through the dark web and various newsrooms since summertime, an enormous, eyebrow-raising claim that Donald Trump uses a secret server to communicate with Russia. That claim resulted in an explosive night of Twitter confusion and misinformation.

The gist of the Slate article is dramatic — incredible, even: Cybersecurity researchers found that the Trump Organization used a secret box configured to communicate exclusively with Alfa Bank, Russia’s largest privately-held commercial bank. This is a story that any reporter in our election cycle would drool over, and drool Foer did:

The researchers quickly dismissed their initial fear that the logs represented a malware attack. The communication wasn’t the work of bots. The irregular pattern of server look-ups actually resembled the pattern of human conversation — conversations that began during office hours in New York and continued during office hours in Moscow. It dawned on the researchers that this wasn’t an attack, but a sustained relationship between a server registered to the Trump Organization and two servers registered to an entity called Alfa Bank.

The Democrat ignorance is astounding. Austan Goolsbee just told O’Reilley that Russia wasn’t a foreign country as applies to FISA.

WAY TOO MANY people are posting old articles and it’s misleading and annoying.

If the OLD ARTICLE IS THAT ####ING important, there will be a newer, updated article on the status.

Tomorrow I’m going to post an article about the Jet’s superbowl win.

If you were trying to securely communicate, you certainly wouldn’t use DNS and what about DNS Caching? If you cache the DNS you wouldn’t need to ping the DNS.

Sounds stupid and for the technically ignorant.

The DNS system is simply servers cooperating to form something like a dynamic world phone book for web addresses. If one server doesn't know the web address, it asks some other servers until one of the servers knows the answer. Trying to piece a conspiracy together on DNS communication has got to win these "academics" some kind of tin foil hat prize!

If you post an article about the Jets' Super Bowl win, I may have to post an article about the Chargers' upset win over the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX.

Fake news beats old news.

Old fake news is best. That's why I love history.

Actually they point out that the server is used to churn out marketing emails for Trump hotels.

More proof that there was never any “there” there. If this server was the impetus for the FISA warrant, it’s a crock of fertilizer.

How can Russia be a foreign country, when Sarah Palin can see it from her yard?

Why is it a POS?...Did you read it...it for our side

It document that the server stuff was all bogus crap

You have to realize The Intercept oddly has become like WikiLeaks ...a left wing group that become allies to our side

FYI im a computer network security engineer so I understand what they are talking about and it makes perfect sense. They are fight the deep state trying to take out Trump

I don’t know all the technical stuff, but the article seems to reinforce that the Russia crap is crap. It’s a phony pretext to spy on and ultimately to hamstring the Trump administration.

Thanks for posting this convincing analysis. If it is correct, and Obama's henchmen obtained a FISA warrant based on this "communication" without doing their due diligence, then someone is in deep doo-doo.
