So we want to keep out agressive invasive fish who can crowd out native fish and change the environment. But we have no political will to do the same with people coming to this country.

If I remember correctly - they did same for Zebra mussels- were never able to eradicate- even after spending untold millions of taxpayer funs.

Zebra mussels aren’t largely a problem anymore. It was eventually discovered certain fish were thriving by eating the mussels.

I’m not sure if they’re the same but American Carp tastes great but bony as hell. A friend told me his mother pressure cooked them then made fish patties. Wish my mother had been taught that. As a kid I choked on a lot of carp bones.
