WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, asked the Justice Department this weekend to publicly reject President Trump’s assertion that President Barack Obama ordered the tapping of Mr. Trump’s phones, senior American officials said on Sunday. Mr. Comey has argued that the highly charged claim is false and must be corrected, they said, but the department has not released any such statement.
Mr. Comey made the request on Saturday after Mr. Trump leveled his allegation on Twitter. Mr. Comey has been working to get the Justice Department to knock down Mr. Trump’s claim because there is no evidence to support it and it insinuates that the F.B.I. broke the law, the officials said.
A spokesman for the F.B.I. declined to comment. Sarah Isgur Flores, the spokeswoman for the Justice Department, also declined to comment.

Comey should have been replaced immediately following the election, but he reopened the investigation into Hillary and took a lot of heat for it, so that’s probably why Trump kept him.
Allowing Comey to stay on was a huge misstep by the admin. This guy has, at the very least, proven he is easily influenced.

There is no way Bannon or Breitbart would build a case that wasn’t there, about being wired, and don’t forget the foreign British gal who was first reporting this in October with her own timeline, from whom Breitbart picks up the story and quotes her.
What a swamp. Mostly a word swamp, with claimants making charges everywhere with no identifying starting points whatsoever to the claims.
He later denied there was any evidence, this is how he then tried to cover up his illicit activities so that Trump thinking this matter was dead, wouldn’t investigate the matter further. That is until leaks started surfacing and 0bummer’s balls to the walls idiocy of sabotaging the Trump Administration.
This is all treasonous and pulls in a foreign government to be complicit in these activities, mainly using the Russian Ambassador.
I remember one time my father forgot the password to UNLOCK his laptop. I got on the internet and copied a password hack program onto a CD, booted from the CD and VOILA! I accessed his laptop and told him what his password was!
Also, how did Petraeus share info. with Paula Broadwell when they were apart? Simple. He gave her his username and password so she could log in to his email! No surface mailings required. She would just log in to his account and print stuff out.

If this is correct, is it possible that John Brennan (CIA) worked with Obama on this instead of the FBI?
