Immigration agents detained an undocumented Los Angeles father of four U.S.-born children as he was about to drop off his daughter at school earlier this week, dramatic video shows.
Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, a 48-year-old Mexican immigrant who has lived and worked in the country for over 25 years, was pulled over by agents a few blocks from his 12-year-old daughter's school in Pasadena on Tuesday morning, attorney Emi MacLean told the Daily News.
The agents, donning blue jackets with the word "police" emblazoned across their backs, cuffed Avelica-Gonzalez and placed him in an unmarked vehicle, as his daughter and wife could be heard in a video weeping from the backseat.
Avelica-Gonzalez was taken to a nearby detention center, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials informed his family members that he was set to be deported the very same evening.

A very good immigration attorney? I dont know the specifics but you can adjust your status with no criminal conviction whatsoever and you pay your taxes. The most impt thing was the ITIN, which is like a tax number for non-citizens. She just got tired of hiding.
Instead of ICE
Immigration and
Customs
Enforcement
They should call it AMF

Another instance of an individual being allowed to enjoy the benefits of our country for an extended time and instead of gratitude for what he has received, we hear complaints about him not receiving more.
No, Trump never ran as conservative. Bush was lefty.
Multiple illegal acts daily, Illegal employment, fraudulent documents, etc.
Funny you don’t know, for someone so emphatic on such topics.
That’s what I don’t get and the media, of course, leaves out that part. They had plenty of time to get their shit together and yet they didn’t. We don’t need people like that in this country!
When I watch these videos I listen to Frankie Laine’s recording of the Rawhide theme song. “....round em up move em out, Rawhide..rollin rollin rollin, Rawhide...”
I thought it originally was for folks whose houses burned down, etc.
Gofuyou.

Most people forget the bipartisan nod/wink that helped usher them in.
'Tisn't a journey, it's a destination. That might be his problem.
They make it so you are always in a school zone or near a school these days.
That is true, that’s why illegals with money and wanted to become a citizen will pay big for an immigration lawyer to find a path to citizenship.
and paying taxes is a good thing to put on their ‘application’
They had previously claimed not to be to help people accused of crimes... That’s why Samaritans Purse had to help the florist who would not serve the “gay wedding.”
As Sergio and Rosa drove to their cleaning jobs in the pre-dawn darkness of Feb. 11, they were pulled over by an unmarked vehicle. The couple looked at each other in confusion. Neither had a criminal record. It hadnt been more than three minutes since they left their Northeast Austin home, and officers wouldnt explain why they had been stopped.
The confrontation would soon rip their family of four apart and separate them by international borders.
Sergio was arrested that morning by federal agents. The couple had entered the country legally, Rosa said, but overstayed their visa. Her husband decided to accept voluntary departure because the family couldnt afford a lawyer. And in a matter of hours after the arrest, Sergio arrived in Nuevo Laredo, which is more than 300 miles away from his family in Torreón, Coahuila, without money or extra clothes.
We came here to work, said Rosa, who was not arrested at the time and spoke with the American-Statesman on the condition that their last name not be used because she fears reprisals from immigration authorities. We always respected the rules here.
Do you mean, Keyser Söze - from the movie Usual Suspects? Good movie.
That’s the one..thanks for the spelling correction. I can yell his name, but not spell it.
Best Regards,
I live near the border. Bill Clinton was actually quite good about enforcing immigration laws. Things went to hell under Jorge D. Bush. It was Bush who ordered the Border Patrol Agents to stay off of the Amtrak trains and bus depots used by the human smugglers.
