In a clip that aired on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday from earlier in the day, Attorney General Jeff Sessions denied having met with Russian officials to discuss Donald Trump’s presidential campaign despite allegations that appeared a Washington Post story published late Wednesday night.
“I have not met with any Russians at any time to discuss any political campaign,” Sessions said. “And those remarks are unbelievable to me and are false, and I don’t have anything else to say about that.”
If necessary, Sessions vowed to recuse himself from any investigation.
“I have said whenever it is appropriate, I will recuse myself,” he added. “There’s no doubt about that.”

PS: given the military relationship and tensions between Russia and the U.S. why would any member of the Senate Armed Services Committee NOT meet with the Russian Ambassador?
Another gotcha by the demorats. Jeff Sessions met with Russian officials on two occasions in the time frame specified but in both instances those meetings were prompted by him doing his official duties as a Senator and had absolutely nothing to do with the Trump campaign. It’s also interesting to note how this was reported this morning on the major “news” networks. What Sessions said was edited to make it appear that he was lying when in fact that’s the furthest thing from the truth. More “fake news” from an increasingly “fake” media.
How many times does he have ot repeat what he said. There is a video of him giving the answer during confirmation. This again is the radical left trying to change the subject from a great speech, and making America great to the old, boring topic of Russia which most voters could not give a damn.
Anyone I see , or hear mentioning Russia is now being told to just stop, pack it in, and I have had enough of this crap, don;t even bother talking to me about this crap.

These “Russian hacking” accusations is two fold. The obvious to take down Trump’s Admin.

If he recuses himself, he needs to make sure that the Dems don’t get to choose who is leading this investigation. They will turn it into a fishing expedition.
He did absolutely nothing wrong. The fact that some Republicans are calling for him to recuse himself is disgraceful. They are playing right into the Dem playbook. They are either stupid or traitors to their party.
