For all his flaws and his leftist political views, I have to give Van Jones credit for one thing. After his infamous "whitelash" meltdown on CNN on Election Night in 2016, he did a remarkable segment a few days or weeks later in which he visited a family of white Democrats in Ohio who voted for Donald Trump. He sat down and had dinner with them, and got a good look at the lives of these blue-collar voters in Midwestern swing states that ended up voting for Trump.

I suspect this was a real learning experience for Jones, and he took a lot of what he heard to heart in some way.

I am shocked that he is married to a white woman.

At the end of Rush's show today a caller posited that Jones gets it and will soon resign from CNN and begin to court the middle class that Trump has in his pocket. He now understands how Trump won.
