I think he's a very smart guy, and he doesn't drink the leftist Kool-Aid as much as we might think. I saw him on CNN at an event at the University of Chicago recently, and I couldn't believe some of the criticism he was laying on the progressive movement in the U.S. He described himself as a "red state Christian kid" who was very critical of how progressives are carrying themselves today.
