Oprah Winfrey says President Donald Trump's victory has her rethinking whether she could be elected to the White House.
Winfrey, a Hillary Clinton supporter, spoke with financier David Rubenstein in December for an interview for his Bloomberg Television show, which premiered this week.
Winfrey says before Trump's election she thought that she didn't have the necessary government experience to run the country but now she thinks differently. The billionaire businessman had never before held public office before his election victory in November.
Winfrey also touched on her 25 years hosting a syndicated talk show. She says her ultimate purpose of the show was to let people know that "we really are more alike than we are different."

Before Obama came along, I said seriously I thought Oprah could be elected president (Americans are that dumb and celebrity - obsessed). 2004 was her window.
Now, America has already done “the black thing” so Oprah can’t run just on the novelty. She’d have to come up with genuine policy positions and not run on the same pablum (hope and change) that got Obama elected.
Plus, Oprah still has that “I did yo drug” moment to live down. If the media gave that clip the Billy Bush treatment (it won’t) there might be some second-guessing on running an admitted drug-abuser for president.
Oprah’s popularism is way down since her show stopped. She should have tried this when she still had the momentum of that vehicle to propel her candidacy. Now, she looks like yet another B-lister on the Celebrity Apprentice.

In the late ‘70’s, Oprah worked for me on weekends. She sure snacked a lot and it was a real chore to get her off her butt to go out with the news van crew to cover fires and shootings. But she was very bright.
Good, now we can ask her about her lesbianism and why she’s been presenting a fake image to the public all these years.
