....The White House has insisted that the raid was a success. But some, including Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, have taken issue with the White House’s framing.
The former prisoner of war said in a statement, “I would not describe any operation that results in the loss of American life as a success.”
The dad is a real POS. Being an active-duty Navy SEAL is inherently super dangerous. SEALs die all the time in helicopter, parachuting, diving and weapons training. He’s trading on his son’s death to get his 15 minutes of political notoriety. A real POS.
As cold as this sounds, me wonders if this was another landmine set by Obama?? Someone leaked...
It’s obvious his son loved what he was doing, and was very proud to be part of Seal Team. It’s sad the way his father is acting. He’s going against the very nature of what his son was proud to do. I’m sure his son would not have wanted his dad to be doing this after he gave the ultimate sacrifice.
A severe case of the Sheehans.
McDemocrat is a loser POS! ...
The male Cindy Sheehan.
Someone needs to fix him up on a date with that crazy lady that stalked W.
Soros and his Alinskyites have likely wooed or blackmailed this guy...they have likely every elite soldier’s family info handy like a loaded shotgun under a bed. Their tools are that of the Sith.
IIRC, and correct me if I’m wrong, the mission was compromised and the team knew but decided to go ahead with it anyway.
Why is the story not about finding out how/why the mission was compromised?
When we enlist or receive our commission, we signed away our lives for the cause of these United States. Never was there any guarantee of surviving. Military life is replete with terminal actions based upon mundane operations, in fact, every time I sat in the Prowler I flew with the knowledge that at any given time, the bird was going to try and kill the crew. SEAL team ops carry an even greater chance of being killed and the teams thrive on that. They wear the derringer and trident as a badge of honor and take it with them to their graves.
Another Cindy Sheehan....
Let McCain rant. His doddering, blind hatred of Trump has blinded him to just how unhinged sounds. He is quickly becoming the most hated man in DC.
As for the SEAL’s father, anyone notice how they aren’t quoting his wife? Methinks the MSM has found their new Cindy Sheehan.
I guess D Day was a failure too, because many Americans died. McCain is a complete moron. Beyond that, he like GWB, is a bitter hater much more concerned about bringing down Trump than the truth.
Only journalist Leftwing activists who know NOTHING about military operations would suggest that the Trump administration, 8 days into office, was responsible for the details of how this mission was executed. That is just so stupid, it boggles the mind. If, and I am saying if, there was a screw up, that is on the Special Operations command and its subordinate units and the intelligence community. What on earth President Trump or Mad Dog was supposed to do about a plausible-sounding mission planned by the military before they took office and recommended by the generals completely eludes me.
McCain is the swamp.
he gives the appearance of being in his position because of who he knew not his merit.
In office politics he would backstab the sick co-worker for the corner office, steal the idea for the promotion, and steal you watch while shaking your hand.
However, if he starts this up in about a year or so ...
If a man joins the SEALS... he is going into territory that leaves him vulnerable. It’s all secret and this father is trying to open a can of worms... He’s lost a son.. and his anger has to be pointed at someone.. someone has to be the blame... and if he’s a democrat, then Trump is to blame. If he was on the right thinking track, obama is to blame.
But being a SEAL, means you are going to go into battles that are highly secret and nothing is guaranteed... the father should know that. It can’t be investigated without getting into territory that is secret. I don’t think they can tell any family member (or anyone) where they are at any given time.. or what they are doing.. or what their next ‘assignment’ is.
Would Mr. Owens have responded this way had some other SEAL had died?
I wouldn’t give this dad a lot of credibility. In the original interview/article it is clear that there are family issues. He lived apart from all of his children, as the first and second wives took the children out of state, probably to avoid the influence. He commented that the “brothers” stayed close with summer and holiday visits. He further said, “he hoped he could make up for lost time, but can’t now”. Most telling in the interview was he wouldn’t talk about his sons wife and three children because some things need to remain private, then said his interview was risking relations with family and friends.
So, dad was a remote father, with an attitude. He has a bad relationship with the wife and grandchildren, might as well blame Trump than himself for failure of HIS MISSION.
Trump is exercising remarkable restraint vis a vis McCain IMHO! I wouldn’t be so condescending.
