The National Institutes of Health is spending nearly $400,000 studying transwomen in Uganda.
A new grant worth $163,996 was awarded just six days into the Trump administration, continuing a project that was initially awarded in April 2016.

Unfortunately, this sort of government waste has been going on since forever.
It was the impetus behind Senator Proxmire’s ‘Golden Fleece Awards, beack in 1975, and he wasn’t the first to take note.
(I’m not making excuses for it. Just sayin’)
Who sponsored this crap? If Trump found out about this he’d be Shi’iting bricks.
Might be an excellent idea for the Trump administration to reach back and revive Proxmire’s “Golden Fleece Award.” It’s such a target rich environment now, there would have to be an elaborate nomination process, or maybe category winners like the Oscars.
PRESIDENT TRUMP - - - - STOP THIS FRAUD ON AMERICA !!!!
Whatever gub mint troll that approves my money being spent this way needs to be dragged behind an old Ford or Chevy Pick up truck down a gravel road
We need to stop this all now right now!
Nothing in the Constitution authorizes the existence of a National Institutes of Health. Get rid of it.
The only way to make a real dent in government idiocy and fraud is to eliminate whole swathes of departments and bureaus and institutes. Otherwise, they will all just crank along, demanding ever more personnel and funding, because everything they just is just so essential to the nation, you know it is, you hater!
I didn’t get a dollar of it. Probably went to all the bigshot trannies.
Shut all grants down immediately. One of the biggest wastes of taxpayer money out there.
The study proves that mental illness is a worldwide problem.
If anyone cared to read the article, the title is pure click bait....
It’s about HIV in Uganda.... Not transwomen....
Still a waste of taxpayer Money....
Why are the progs obsessed with transgenderism?
Male prostitutes, whether cross-dressers or not, are a common vector of HIV transmission.
Why are hundreds of thousands of dollars needed to observe this? Because the National Institutes of Health exists and has a budget, that's why.
I don't know what you mean, it seems clear to me from the article:
"The goals of the study include a comprehensive survey of HIV risks facing sexual and gender minorities in Uganda to find online and text message interventions for this population."
Leftover insurgent action by an embedded Obama plant. I'd bet you that this kind of thing (as it gets more air play) will be viewed very harshly by President Trump's administration.
Does the article mention that one of the many reasons the initiative to curb the problem is that the condoms the folks get are from China — little ones that don’t fit. Or does it mention that the expensive/free medical stuff have instructions written in some foreign language — not helpful. Didn’t think so... Just ask anyone that has been there to help figure out what goes wrong. There is no mystery.
Aren't transmen a gender minority in Uganda also...yet the title is about transwomen ...
My comment is more of the understanding that 95% of the article has nothing to do the title.
