KEEP MOVING
A college class was graduating on a hot and humid day. As the graduates walked across the platform and received their diplomas from the president of the college, he smiled, shook their hands, and said loudly, "Congratulations!" Then, in a much lower voice, one that was firm and could be heard only by the graduates, he would say, "Keep moving". He was only trying to keep the line moving across the stage, but his words were good advice for a lifetime: "Keep moving". After every achievement growing up, graduation, marriage, job promotion, even retirement the best advice is, "Keep moving. Don't stop. Don't stagnate". There is more to life than you have found thus far. This is not the end; it is only the beginning. "Keep moving." When we approach life with this attitude, we look forward to the future and what God has in store for us.

Through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
Ephesians 3:12
A few years ago, a friend invited me to join him as a spectator at a pro golf tournament. Being a first-timer, I had no idea what to expect. When we arrived, I was surprised to receive gifts, information, and maps of the golf course. But what topped it all was that we gained access to a VIP tent behind the 18th green, where we had free food and a place to sit. I couldnt have gained entry to the hospitality tent on my own though. The key was my friend; it was only through him that I had complete access.
Left to ourselves, we would all be hopelessly separated from God. But Jesus, who took our penalty, offers us His life and access to God. The apostle Paul wrote, [Gods] intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known (Eph. 3:10). This wisdom has brought Jew and Gentile together in Christ, who has made a way for us to come to God the Father. Through faith in [Christ] we may approach God with freedom and confidence (v. 12).
When we put our trust in Jesus, we receive the greatest access of allaccess to the God who loves us and desires relationship with us.
Father! Just being able to call You Father is an incredible gift. Thank You for Your Son, Jesus, who has made it possible for me to come into Your presence, to know You personally, and, yes, to call You my Father.
Because of the cross of Christ, we can become friends of God.
Paul was humbled by memories that left him feeling unworthy to be writing on behalf of Christ and the community he once hated (Eph. 3:8). How could he ever forget the harm he had done to the people of Christ? (Gal. 1:1314, 23). With his conversion, the Spirit of God gave Paul a heart for the Gentiles he once regarded as outsiders to Israels covenant of faith (Eph. 2:1112). Paul and his readers could now celebrate together the honor of being accepted by God in the name of Christ. Do you wrestle with what it means to not measure up? To feel like an outsider, not welcome in the love of God? If so, then Pauls letter has great significance. Together we can recall what it means to be welcomed into the presence of God in the full sponsorship of the Sonwho lived and died to bring outsiders like us into His Fathers family.

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...did you have the weather to get outside and look at your dirt? Think about your planting plans?
I had my roofer come by to look at the 10’ icicles and the ice and snow buildup below the skylights. I know we help create the problem, but he knows we’re not giving them up so he needs to work around them. He went on the roof with BIG spikies on his boots. He shoveled off a bunch of snow, and used a GIANT ice pick to chip back the ice. When he came down he said they need to shovel off the whole roof, that it was a lot deeper than he thought....like as deep as his legs. So, later this week he will be back with his crew. He put ice melt on the worst ice edge and I’ve been hearing the crackling ever since. Sure glad I recognized the sound. LOL!
I’m glad to get it done now as we have had the ice dams back up under the shingles and into the house before. Proactive is key for me. Then in spring we will think about proactive before winter gets here again.

I did not get outside today. I had a number of tasks to take care of inside today. Another warm day here - but rain in the afternoon.
I still have laryngitis - will almost certainly not sing tomorrow morning.

"I VOW TO THEE, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.
And there's another country, I've heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace."

Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
