President Trump, in his third week in office, met with a class of Green Beret candidates and brought them into the Oval Office for the first time in the courses history.
The 18 Army officers in the Special Forces Qualification Course, or Q-course, were visiting the National Security Council in early February, as a normal part of the course.
But this time, Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka, who was scheduled to speak to the students, had suggested that they meet the president.
The plan was to take them into the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House, but Trump decided to invite them into the Oval Office, to take pictures with them for their families.
Halfway through the discussion, [Trump] said, Hey were not supposed to do this but follow me, and he brought them all into the Oval Office, took a group photograph around the Resolute desk, and then throwing the schedules into a bit of a tizzy, said OK thats not good enough,' Gorka told Breitbart News in an interview.

The end of the article tried to portray odumbo as “also caring” but DID NOT convince me.
When ever there are photos of either Trump or odumbo meeting with the military, the military people are actually smiling and enjoying the event when Trump is there. Not so when odumbo shows up, the scowls on the forced attendance faces tell the tale.
LOL! The YUGELY FAKE NEWS would say that. Not that it isn’t true, but re”lie”able sources said.....................
LOL! Like he cared enough to do a “selfie” day all over the place. Cute huh? Fidiot he is/was. Glad he’s at least no longer there. Silent, he will not be.
My first Reaction...
These Men will be Fighting for our Nation
and President Trump sees that some may Perish in Battle.
And He is Humbled.
Now, if they could only get back to the Honor Code.
Mackey Post had run of the WH under Bill which she did often, the under that is.
>> Hey were not supposed to do this”
Why not?
Bring the military!
Disinvite sports teams!!
#############
Amen.
“I remember walking down the main passageway at my command and seeing the chain of command portraits.”
-—————;
My daughter is a high school freshman, and she joined her school’s JROTC. There is a similar set of chain of command photographs in the hallway right next to the office of the retired Chief Warrant Officer who runs the program. My wife and I have gotten to know “Chief” and his wife quite well and we really enjoy each other’s company. Right after the election, I asked when he was going to change the photographs. He told me that if it was up to him, he would already have done so, but he said that he had to wait until noon on January 20th. On that wonderful day, I asked my daughter if he had changed the photos. She said, “Oh, yeah, we were all there with him, and he did it at exactly 12 o’clock.”
The really great thing about it was that they did not have an official portrait of President Trump just yet. So he used a picture from a Blog that I had introduced him to, with Trump standing on top of an Abrams tank, holding a minigun in one hand with an eagle perched on the other arm. Let’s just say that Chief is not displeased with our present Commander in Chief. Being that he is an ex-Ranger, and given both his stories and the views of many other people that I know, I am quite certain that about 95% of present and former special operators feel exactly the same way. Damn, I haven’t felt this good scenes Reagan was President.
Your read on that is exactly correct. One thing that he is, is a patriot. Unlike Obama, who merely uses people for his own personal gain. Trump really admires these people, you can see it, feel it, and know it from his past comments and actions. Trump is the real deal, just like Reagan was. Thank G-d that we have him in office, and not that shrill Beast.
FAKE NEWS!! There was NO SOURCE, and this wasn’t a Photo-Op or he would have called the PRESS IN!!
Believe it or not, despite many decades of being incredibly powerful and wealthy, and getting his way on just about everything of consequence in his life, President Trump is truly humbled by his new position. I think that he has great respect for the various protocols of the office, as well as for the responsibilities of his demanding schedule. But he is such a patriot that he could not resist the opportunity of meeting with these incredible men, and spending more time with them, and most of all giving them something to remember. Good on him, and good for us.
Honestly, if I were in his position, I would find it very difficult to resist doing the same thing or something very similar just about every single day. It must take a lot of discipline to stick with his schedule when anybody working for him will jump to fulfill his every order, but that is what he has been doing for his entire life. He is a businessman, and he knows that if he doesn’t do things, they will not get done. Of course, you do get the smell the roses along the way sometimes. Again, good on him and good for us.
“he would have called the PRESS IN!!” Well except cnn, nytimes, msnbc etc., etc. LOL!
The president did have the Green Berets on his schedule.
and from Politico ( not a Trump place )

It is interesting that Sebastian Gorka is a warfare specialist and has worked with the Green Berets for years. So I’m guessing he had a lot to do with it.
HELLO!!!! Did you read the article??? Of COURSE they were on the schedule, but the Oval Office wasn’t!!
Thought the same thing!
Hello, McFly..did you read my posts? Where did I mention oval office ?
I do believe that there were no photos released because of simple OPSEC. These men operate on the sly in hostile lands for months or years on end. I know *I* wouldn’t want my photo going public if I was an SF operative, especially if I had a family.
cripes. what the heck are we doing ?
I apologize.
