Okay, this needs to be stated for the record . . . though I am not crazy about it.

As a youth I was molested by three different men on various occasions . . . one a baby-sitter, the other a guy that drank at the same bar as my parents, another a photographer for movie trailers.

Somehow, contrary to this guys opinion, I DID NOT turn out to be a flaming homosexual that dresses like Marie Antoinette.

In fact, in my early twenties I met another man who I fell deeply in love with and have been with him now over 40 years . . . His name is Jesus Christ.

How in the world am I not under the spell of Sodom Syndrome?

By God’s grace?

I had a couple close encounters when young, but avoided turning to the homosexual lifestyle. Others do.

It’s that simple, I think.

Consider yourself blessed, and NOT typical of most abused children.

People’s minds do no react the same to traumatic events.

Be thankful. Be understanding of those whose minds melted down.

Wow, thanks for that courage. I know I have things I did as a child that I am ashamed about and would not feel comfortable talking about it.

Just as everyone is not susceptible to Stockholm Syndrome, you were lucky enough not to come under the spell of Sodom Syndrome. The fact that you can even be open & share your terrible experiences about this, shows a strength many do not possess. However, you state you were molested but do not go into detail, nor do I care to hear the details, about the extent of that molestation. That too may have played a part.

All I can say is that what this man is saying is a reality, and I only know that from knowing gays who have shared some of their early experiences. Almost all of them were at a very early age.

Like the author of this piece I too pray that Milo will find his way out of the destructive homosexual lifestyle. I refuse to stand in judgement of him. Even in the best of circumstances it is a destructive lifestyle in the long term. The act is not a safe one, even for heterosexual couples.

How in the world am I not under the spell of Sodom Syndrome?

**********************************************

Who knows?

There are probably some people that are more susceptible than others due to their upbringing and male influences.

I have always believed that some homosexuals were born that way. Not all, but some.
I use to put my bother-in-law in that category. He is a small feminine guy, and he always was that way according to family members.
However, something came out recently that shocked us all, including my brother-in-law.

My husband and I were going through old family photos and we found a picture of his brother dressed up like a girl. He was only about 2 years old.

When we ask his mother about it, she acted like it was no big deal. She said his grandparents just like to dress him up like that.

His family moved away by the time my husband and his sister were born, and my husband only saw his grandparents once. I always thought that was pretty strange.

So yes, there is a big sick secret and his mother is the only person alive that knows what happened, and she is not talking. My bother-in-law has no memory of ever being abused.

Do I still believe some people are born that way? Nope, and neither does my bother-in-law.

It is also reasonable to assume that if this man abused his grandson, I’m sure he did it to his son too. Why didn’t he turn out gay too? Did he just hide it because it wasn’t accepted back then?

Again, who knows?

I don’t think every boy that’s molested turns homosexual. I had a family member that was molested by a Baptist preacher. He didn’t go gay, but he had huge addiction and promiscuity problems that haunted him until he died much too early in 2016.

However, almost every homosexual I’ve ever known WAS molested by an older man.

I don’t know too many now, but I did back in the 80’s. They’re all dead now.

I am sorry that you were so hurt.

I am happy that you were saved.

Not everyone is you.

But I am glad that you are ok.

People handle trauma differently. Some become promiscuous, some turn to alcohol/drugs, some continue the cycle of abuse and abuse children like they were abused, some turn homosexual and some are able to get their lives back together and live normal lives. Not all of them turn homosexual.
