Ideas and values should matter more than tribal identity...
Unfortunately, many conservatives have embraced this sort of binary thinking: If it angers the Left, it must be virtuous. Undoubtedly, that's a crude shorthand for political thinking. It means you never have to check the ideas of the speaker, you merely have to check how people respond to him.
That's dangerous. It leads to supporting bad policies and bad men. The enemy of your enemy isn't always your friend. Sometimes he's your enemy. Sometimes he's just a dude sitting there minding his own business...
The logic of "if he melts snowflakes, he's one of us" actually hands power to the Left, by allowing leftists to define conservatives' friends. It gets to choose whom we support...

You could rename the title of this article "How to Lose.... More!"
> In any case, I am merely observing that you appear unwilling to accept Shapiro’s point simply on the basis that he supported Hillary. If that is not binary thinking, nothing is.
Why would someone listen to a Hillary Clinton propagandist like liddle Ben? Such people clearly don’t have our best interests in mind and thus are almost certainly not advocating something that will be good for us.
Listening to Ben Shapiro propaganda is like listening to Communist propaganda. It sounds wonderful but we’ve already seen what comes from embracing it so why bother?
Ever notice how the Left, and the cuckservatives, are fond of trotting out David Duke to silence and smear people?
All Ben Shapiro articles should come with a NEVERTRUMPER DOUCHBAG alert. Shapiro can go to hell with McCainiac and Linda Graham.
Shapiro is basically stating that Trump is the enemy. You agree with that?
Be careful. Please don’t make it look as if you are reacting to how people respond to Shapiro, and not what he presents in writing.
>Be careful. Please dont make it look as if you are reacting to how people respond to Shapiro, and not what he presents in writing.
Have you ever read Das Kapital? I have. Pretty good propaganda. I never took it seriously because I’d already seen the results of putting it’s ideas into effect. Ben Shapiro propaganda is the same sort of crap. Any allegation that he’s a defender of the truth and should be taken seriously went out the window when he hitched himself to the #nevertrumpers(Hillary supporters) and the liar reporter Michelle Fields.
A statement which logically is nonsense.
The "friend" status of our enemies' enemies is indeterminate.
Example, for those who can't follow abstractions:
Britain: enemy of our enemy Nazi Germany. Status: friend.
Soviet Union: enemy of our enemy Nazi Germany. Status: enemy.
China: enemy of our enemy Imperial Japan. Status: some parts enemies. Some parts friends.
Ben Shapiro: My enemy.
> What, specifically, makes you not wish to treat the selection I posted in comment #21 seriously? What, exactly, would be the results of putting its ideas into effect (that would lead you to dismiss it the way Das Kapital is dismissed)?
His ideas put into effect was to help Hillary Clinton get elected. Today his ideas put into effect is to aid the left by removing an effective tools against the left. All the paths he follows results in liberal victories instead of Conservative ones.
Though I don't agree with his Trump assessment, that much at least is true, and needs to be remembered . . . especially considering the American right's tendency to embrace the European right, which is very different.
This is a self-evident truth in danger of being forgotten by our side.
Not only that, it gets SUCKIER all the time.
I agree. He's made a very good point, but paints with too broad a brush.
Is he talking about Trump?
Isn't it rather obvious he's talking about every "conservative's" favorite pervert, Milo Yiannopoulos?
Clinton won the Election ??!?!
That is unfortunately true. There are people to whom Trump is the white Obama. That attitude does neither him nor us any favors.
Wrong. I reject him because he doesn't even follow his own damn advice. Because he is a fake conservative and always has been. I am very good at sizing people up.
I am merely observing that you appear unwilling to accept Shapiro's point simply on the basis that he supported Hillary. If that is not binary thinking, nothing is.
I see through this slimy piece of garbage for the fake that he is. While it's true that his support resulted in loss of respect for the boy, it is not the singular reason I dismiss him for the phony that he is. I would, however, think it obvious to any conservative that his continued support for Hillary as President after Trump had won the right to serve as the Republican candidate that he is a phony. I guess I am wrong. At least Levin had the sense to support Trump over Hillary, but I have lost a tremendous amount of respect for him as well.
What people fail to realize is that Trump was the only one in the Republican bunch that could and would defeat Hillary in the General Election. The others would have been buried by the press because they would have capitulated to the press like flowers in the desert heat.
Massive Milo Envy with this cuck.
