CIA-coordinated military aid for rebels in northwest Syria has been frozen since they came under major Islamist attack last month, rebel sources said, raising doubts about foreign support key to their war against President Bashar al-Assad.

Rebel officials said that no official explanation had been given for the move this month following the jihadist assault, though several said they believed the main objective was to prevent arms and cash falling into Islamist militant hands. But they said they expected the aid freeze to be temporary.

These are the people that are with Turkey in Al Bab as best I can tell.

They were fighting to overthrow Assad. I believe the US has stopped trying to aim for that since Trump took over.

At one point, the US military supported groups that were opposed to the ones the CIA supported. Does that make any sense? No, I did not think so.

If we had not been trying to oust Assad, Putin would not have had a reason to delve into the middle east. Obama created this mess on top of the mess that was already there. Now all we can do figure out how to live with the new reality of increased Russian presence in the ME.

It doesn’t make sense for us to be arming ANY jihadists.
But try to explain that to McCain, Graham and Rubio......

The US needs to stop assistance/support to the Turks also. They are only interested in opposing the Kurds and Assad in Syria and taking possession of Syrian territory. They have done a minimal amount of offensive action against ISIS — AT BEST.

Nusra is Syrian. ISIS is Saudi Arabia.

Frankly, it’s impossible for us to know from where we sit.
The number of “groups” is also too shady and some are clearly aligned with Islamic fundamentalists.

Outside of the Kurds, an American ally who loves both Americans and America, there’s much suspect. This ISIS “rebellion” is led by officers of Saddam’s Sunni officer corp.

Appears that people were playing a dangerous game to “offset” Iran. In doing so, a barbaric monster was unleashed.

One that we nor any other ISIS funder controls. Beyond cynical and the persecution of religious minorities in the Middle East inclusive of Yazhidis and Christians only make it more so.

Just being clear about the difference. This continued pretense that ISIS is anything but Saudi Arabia is tiresome.

America's FIRST Muslim President still thinks Americans are idiots.

Hussein was arming Muslim terrorists in Egypt, Libya and Syria. The Arab Spring plan was simple, overthrow governments and create "refugees."

Refugees flood the west and create havoc.

Along the way Hussein lied about Benghazi and strengthened Muslim terrorism everywhere. And people are still talking about Hussein's legacy instead of his treason.

It wasn't Obama. He was just a lazy figure head who was a perfect multicultural face for the globalist puppet masters. As much as it would be easy to simply blame it on Obama, the same forces in opposition to Trump from Deep State let Barry know what they expected him to do. The taking down of Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran,... has been in the works by the puppet masters for at least a few decades. Even Clean Break has been around for two decades.

But the globalist puppet masters have moved beyond the Middle East. They have been emboldened by how easy it's been for them manipulate and take down anyone and anything not 100% acquiescent to their control. Now they have convinced half of the West that there is now a big white Christian country that is the biggest threat. Russia. And when Russia stepped in to thwart the complete destruction of Syria by Islamists they became "the biggest threat" to the globalists. The most uncomfortable thing to the globalists is the cross of Christ and for a very long time they have been working to eliminate Christianity. Even if they means flooding the Christian West with Muslims which will affect themselves indirectly. They are the scorpions of Aesop's fable.

Russia is not a threat. Anybody who says Russia is a threat is a liar or a fool. Russia is an obstacle to the mad desire to rule the world by force of arms and capital markets. And of course, from what we've seen in Syria, they stand in the way of the annihilation of Christians.

I’ve been reading America is supplying the ISIS, What happened to Assad? Is he more horrible than the ISIS? There isn’t ONE Arab leader who doesn’t torture his local opponents.

It has occurred to me that Obama is trying to replicate his greatest success (from his perspective), the Arab Spring, right here in the USA right now. He lit the middle east on fire to try to get radical islamists in power, he is stoking the embers here now to get Trump out of power. Same methods though.
