There is still quite a bit of farmland but the town has grown. Some great little restaurants. Kind of what I would call 'Yuppie" places but they're good.

JUST IN: A flash flood warning for Dayton has been canceled, according to the National Weather Service. The water in Dayton’s retention pond has receded, and it is no longer expected to fail.
I haven’t been back since ‘87 for my mother’s funeral. Still lots of relatives there but more traffic and people than I want to deal with.
I hear ya. I’ve gotten so used to G’ville, that driving in Reno is too many cars on the road for me at times :D
Didn’t they vote for hildabeast? Maybe having a brain cramp.
LOL. Boy, down there you have been hit with massive flooding.
I was told in the 1970’s that North America would be covered by glaciers by 2000
Most of flooding is on 395 to Carson. Luckily we’re on high ground.
Yeah, and now it’s raining so hard , the farmers can’t get to the bank to cash their drought relief checks
Ain’t that amazing. In people loving , high tax, democrat states to boot
She barely won the state (48-45.5) only because the Gary Johnson, the Libertarian got 3% of the vote.
True...
May be Worse than the Ohio River Flood of 1944
Another one?
This stuff really IS obama’s fault. He’s the one who wasted the money for infrastructure on other stupid stuff, probably including lining his own pockets!

Do you remember Casa de Fruta on the road between I-5 and 101?
I-5 only went up that far, then you had to cut over to the coast route.
And I remember when there wasn’t an I-5 in the San Joaquin valley.
I don’t think so. Seems I drove Pacheco Pass over to I-5 to LA to visit my sister. It’s been a long time but I think I drove 101 to Grants Pass, Oregon. About all I remember of that drive was it was dark, winding and seemed to take forever.
101 goes up the Oregon Coast and not through Grants Pass. I-5 goes through Grants Pass—it was something else before it was I-5, but it was never 101. I grew up about five miles off of 101 in Southern Oregon, and had family in Grants Pass and Medford.
