Oof: Dave Rubin Makes Claim That Jesus "Was Around A Lot of Muslims"

Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report may want to pick up a history book before trying to make claims about who Jesus Christ hung around with or would have approved of. In a rather hilarious clip, Rubin, speaking with comedian Trae Crowder, made the curious claim that Jesus hung around with a lot of Muslims, because he was in the Middle East

Islam, of course, wasn't founded until the early seventh century. It would have been quite hard for Jesus to have hung around with Muslims, given that they did not exist yet.

Paul’s views on women’s roles is orthodox Jewish, basically. He said they should be submissive to their husbands and not be ministers or church leaders. The view that he hated women or was anti-woman is based only on a few verses taken out of context.

Rubin is a millennial homosexual atheist. He claims to recently have departed from Leftist orthodoxy and also claims to have become something of a libertarian - although he still seems to me like a socialist and typical, knee-jerk American urban progressive in nearly all ways

I am guessing he sees himself as a Libertarian in the way Bill Mahr sees himself as a Libertarian.

He sees himself as a Libertarian in the matters of: sex, drugs and moral behavior in general. But remains a socialist in all other things; taking property from one individual in order to give it to another, government arbitrarily restricting the use of private property and international meddling in the activities of sovereign nations.
