Former President Barack Obama's environmental chief, Gina McCarthy, said Friday that she will be keeping a close eye on newly confirmed EPA chief Scott Pruitt as he takes the helm of the agency she once commanded.

These “environmentalists” could convince me that they are truly concerned about the environment if they would engage in basic problem-solving methodology when it comes to environmental issues: gather pertinent information, examine and define the problem, brainstorm possible solutions, and choose the solution most likely to address the defined problem.
Instead, we get sky-is-falling pronouncements all the time without any facts to back them up.
I think that piping oil is probably more environmentally friendly than shipping it (ships leak and sink while trains and trucks crash and spill, causing environmental disasters every year). But environmentalists never discuss the pros and cons of each method; they just howl.
How the heck does one uphold science?
And whatever that is..... many administrations have made up their own science
Reminds me of when newly promoted, an employee didn’t like that I wanted to discuss correct way of doing her job - she threw a fit and stormed out to call the old boss who had moved 1500 miles away. Guess how far that got her - got her hauled into big bosses office and is now doing it my way - the correct way!
So old EPA director can monitor all she wants from afar - it’ll get her nowhere!!

She says she “respects” the dedicated public servants at EPA. Doesn’t say anything about the “dedicated” coal miners, pipeline workers, or manufacturing towns she and her dedicated bureaucrats put out of business or their families, does she?
Maybe she will learn something about protecting the environment with out tyrannizing the People.....

I respect the EPA’s dedicated public servants. I respect them so much that I want at least 80% of them to find useful jobs in the private sector.
Will the west coast be freed of the destruction of single family homes because they are not socially just?
