President Trump has said he wants to "unlock the mysteries of space" and "focus on stretching the envelope of space exploration."
He may now have the chance to send astronauts to orbit the moon, a mission that carries significant risk but which, if executed smoothly, could bring huge benefits to accelerating future missions to deep space...

Apollo-Soyuz-China....
Put McLame and Grahamnesty on the first flight and make it ONE WAY!!
We first landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969. That’s nearly a half century ago.
We should have had a Moon base by now.
Moon base, hell. We should have had a Mars base.
Send CNN, Cher, Barbara Streisand, Debra Messing, Mark Ruffalo, Meathead, and the rest of the left to the moon I will pay for the blankies and complementary peanuts
Not in 8 years. Not the way NASA moves.
We went from space exploration to celebrating diversity. You can’t do both.
With all due respect, you folks just aren’t thinking creatively enough.
Those folks are too important to be landing on some heavenly body like the Moon or even Mars.
I say we should reserve the most important heavenly body in our solar system.
As prestigious as they are, I recommend they settle the Sun for us.
Liberals only want to moon Trump.
Much as I would like to ship some of my adult children to Mars ... yes, I’m talking about you, Bill ... what’s the cost/benefit? If we could legally ship slacker young adults to the far reaches, Nevada is a lot cheaper than Mars.
Bammy canceled the space program because it was a symbol of America’s greatness, and the media deliberately and intentionally suppressed that fact.
Trump will lead the country back to greatness.
Mars. We should be going to Mars. The titan rocket was built to go to Mars.
Maybe to survey the best locations for robotic craft to start mining the inches deep Tritium that covers the Moon. Once nuclear fusion is a reliable reality the Moon has thousands of years of “fuel”.
How important is it to go back to the moon? More important than making America energy independent? I don’t think so.
Never mind that...can he take us to the edge of the Earth??
Send all the liberals to the moon.
ruhroh Bill, mama ain't happy, and that's not usually a good thing
How important is it to go back to the moon? More important than making America energy independent? I dont think so.

You’re right. The U.S. has enough potential energy reserves to make us, not only energy independent but to make us an energy exporter.
Finish dismantling the E.P.A. and it will happen.
I don’t think that the crew from the first landing even made back before the poverty pimps were complaining that the money should have gone down their rat-hole rather than being ‘wasted’ on space exploration.
We’re only going to go to the moon so we can get pictures of the flat-as-a-pancake Earth spinning like a Frisbee in space.
Or maybe that big turtle really is there.....
