Apollo-Soyuz-China....
Put McLame and Grahamnesty on the first flight and make it ONE WAY!!
We first landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969. That’s nearly a half century ago.
We should have had a Moon base by now.
Moon base, hell. We should have had a Mars base.
Not in 8 years. Not the way NASA moves.
Bammy canceled the space program because it was a symbol of America’s greatness, and the media deliberately and intentionally suppressed that fact.
Trump will lead the country back to greatness.
Mars. We should be going to Mars. The titan rocket was built to go to Mars.
How important is it to go back to the moon? More important than making America energy independent? I don’t think so.
Never mind that...can he take us to the edge of the Earth??
I don’t think that the crew from the first landing even made back before the poverty pimps were complaining that the money should have gone down their rat-hole rather than being ‘wasted’ on space exploration.
We should have a launch pad on the moon by now.
Moon base is the ONLY intelligent goal, so Trump may go for it.
In a word, yes.
I believe by the end of Trump’s first term our space program will be VERY active again.
Imagine if they built a Space Telescope on the Moon.
No size restrictions on the Mirror like the Hubble and the new James Webb Telescope that will be launched in 2018. It would allow us to see further into the Universe than ever before with no Atmospheric distortion.
Mining for Helium 3 and Rare Earth Elements is also a possibility.
Heck, construct a Rail Gun to launch Payloads into deep space. I know, having an Imagination is easy. LOL
The only reason we should bother with another moon landing is to establish a base to get to Mars. But in all reality, there is no real reason to go back to the moon. There are no fuel sources, no food sources, minimal water sources. It just doesn’t make sense. Then again I’m an engineer and don’t get too excited about extraordinary things. Mars would be great. Why? Just to say we can.
Would be a great place to stash criminal liberals. Need to watch for revolts in the future though.
I am old enough to remember when JFK galvanized the nation to land a man on the moon and return him safely within the decade. Despite tracks and daunting challenges we succeeded and then squandered that success with a lack of political will and the conversion of NASA from an agency full of engineers and inovators to one filed with bureaucrats and political hacks.
That is technically impossible. To go back to something, you would have had to have gone there sometime earlier.
