Whatever or whoever prompted Trump to authorize jettisoning Flynn was a HUGE mistake...now the leftists will use this situation to prove how Trump is not fit to be President. The decision was foolishly meant to curb criticism, but unfortunately the decision only gave the left more ammunition to prove that Trump is not a good leader, either he makes bad choices in hiring or weak in that he listened to bad advice. Either way, he has opened the floodgates of wrath. Bad advice to oust Flynn...he should have given all his critics the middle finger and told the press that they are not qualified to question his decision-making....

President Trump has to get down to the bottom of the leaks. It’s CIA losers or Obama holdovers or both. Eliminate these punks.
There is no need for panic. There is nothing here that I can see. Give a calm and rational explanation a few times and after that just ignore the issue. Let the people know that if this had been the Obunghole administration it would have been covered up. It will blow over. Keep pushing the agenda and after a couple of new triggers the media will be frothing at something else.
We cannot let their insanity influence our actions.

I ran into several men who ran OPS with me in 68-69. They are retired CIA and State Dept types. They still do contract work. Two were Obama fans. Highly unusual for men who ran cross border OPS.

I do not agree. Trump is not stupid. During the campaign, how many times did you think “this is it, he is done”? It turned out he was not even close to being done. Remember how many times he was able to turn the tables on rivals, media, Hillary? Well, this is one of those times. Again.
It was Trump— not them!! He wimped out at the first punch. What is this crap. Flynn did nothing wrong. He apologized for a misunderstanding!! Trump is in trouble with the RIGHT!! To hell with the left.
The Establishment and Media (but I repeat myself) had better get it through their thick skulls that nobody cares what they think anymore. They can do all the hysterical hand-wringing they want, but the American people are going to ignore it until such time as there's a reason not to.
How many times do you have to see this silliness before you stop being rattled by it?

You are overthinking this. All the stuff you mentioned about leftists is irrelevant. They can scream for attention but they have no power.
A week from now nobody will remember about Flynn. He won’t be missed.
It was a shame but not a huge mistake yet. Their goal is to remove Trump loyalists and isolate him, and then control him.
If Trump brings in someone who is loyal and aligned with his views and ideology, he will deny his foes a victory. And if President Trump successfully tracks down all the leaks he turns it into a net gain.
It’s not like Trump to quit a fight.
My read is Trump may have not have been as keen on Flynn as he originally thought. So the controversy gives him cover for letting him go.
I look at it like this, WENDLE.
Firstly, I am one who believes that you never, ever give the enemy what they want. You do not, under any circumstance, let the other team score points on you. You do not throw your soldiers to the lions. Never.
That being said, seeing that Trump asked him for his resignation, and also hearing reports that there with other incidents involving Flynn aside from this one with the Russian ambassador causing alarm or problems, if Trump thought that Flynn had made himself into a liability whose presence was causing greater harm than jettisoning him would, and subsequently decided to cut him loose, then I gotta respect that decision by the boss.
I don’t think he tossed Flynn to the sharks just to satisfy the sharks, because everyone knows the sharks ain’t gonna be satisfied. They gonna eat everything you got and then some.
So, in a nutshell, I’m thinking there was no other option here but to do what was done.
Do YOU want to have to watch the gleeful Dems and a few GOPEers, on T.V. constantly, talking about IMPEACHMENT ?
