Yesterday was the 45th anniversary of my Dad's death, so I'm going to the cemetery now to take flowers to him and my Mom for Saint Valentine's Day. Naturally, the cemetary is located across town in a rather unsavory area so I need to get going so I can get home before dark.
Bless you for doing that.
I had to take the Valentine arrangement to Arlington Cemetery before I left the DC area. I took my lunch and sat for a while on a bench nearby. When I sent a text to my daughter telling her where I was, she replied “say hello to Dad for me!” I was doing fine until then. 20 years now, it is a long time.
The Wreaths Across America were still in place and so there was lots of “red” to be seen in all the areas.
