Remember when Paul Ryan set Trump up before he won the Presidential election? He told him he would meet with him at a gathering, but at the last minute he canceled, humiliating Trump? Trump had made some unbecoming comments which made many turn against him. However, in the political arena, that does not usually turn Presidential supporters against the candidate.

So many comments of Trump’s were skewed to make him look bad, and Ryan was looking for any out and grasped at one of them.

McConnell is just as bad. He makes a comment now and again that makes it seem like he’s finally gotten it, but here we are 22 days into the Trump Presidency and only 7 (pos 8) of 18 of his nominees have been sworn in.
McConnell isn’t just dragging one foot out the door, he’s outside sacrificing his full body to drag the car speed down on the road to recovery.
We have the best chance at getting this nation straightened out, and McConnell and Ryan are slow-walking things as much as they possibly can.
They don’t agree with Trump. They hate the idea he’s coming in (in part) to clean up their act as much as to clean up the Democrat’s act. They despise this political newbie, for the very reason he’s showing them up.
Some of the things he’s doing could have been done over a decade ago under Bush. They weren’t.
Trump is going to clean out the rats in Congress, and they most certainly won’t all be Democrats.

Paul Ryan has been one of the biggest political disappointments in the last decade. I really used to admire him; indeed, I remember when he was quite the “star” right here on FR. Just sad and sickening how he’s turned out. But — a good lesson in, “trusting” Repubs, that’s for sure. A very good lesson.

Every time Trump recited “The Snake” I thought of Paul Ryan.
