Leslie Ray Charping could easily have been this bad. Some guys seem to work at it, and others just fall into it by accident. Sounds like this guy used both methods.
I’m going to take a little different approach to the man that his family did. I don’t deny that he was any of what they recited here. He may have been one of the worst men ever. So what do you when the man dies?
I say you mourn how rotten he was, what could have been, and the way he ruined his own life, and negatively impacted others around him.
The mere public trashing of him by the family leads me to think Leslie wasn’t the only one with problems.
Why would they think this exercise in futility would make them any greater than they were? What was to be gained by leaking on his grave?
Good people weep for the lost.
Leslie, you let you and everyone else down evidently. In the end I’m sure you made your own life, and other people’s lives miserable. What a waste.
Good former members of Leslie’s family, please find something better to do than trash this man for the rest of your lives.
I have known of families that continued to support the bad men in their lives. They were long suffering, and the reprobates knew where home was, and that there was someone on this earth that loved them.
IMO, those were the families with saints in them.
This one here, I’m not so sure.
I never advocate a family allow the father to beat the mother or the children, so separation was probably necessary here.
Hate is NEVER a plus in relationships, especially when you’re the one doing it. It will eat you up.
The truth will out...eventually.
LOL! “He allowed Mary Jose to suffocate to death in an air pocket in the submerged car which he inexplicably was able to escape but not her. He the went home and slept off his booze for 8 hours before going for “help” all of which in Democrats minds qualified him to be POTUS in 1980”
If you can't say any thing nice about someone...
A stone in our church cemetery is inscribed "Enjoying the view".
I wonder if a fella, knowing his time was near, who was intelligent, and very sarcastic, might have penned this about himself?
Better print it out and save it.
When Ted croaked, someone here on FR was sooooo happy that the priest was able to do Last Rites on the Putz before he passed...
...as if sacramentalism is in any way Scriptural.
NOT.
What good could possibly come from publishing something like this?
I could understand writing it and deleting it as self-therapy.
When I die cremate me so that no one will have to keep my grave clean
I hope my family writes one for me at least as complimentary as this. Seems like the guy pretty much did things his way, if with something of an abrasive manner.
If a person has not p*ssed off at least three people a day, he is just not doing his part to educate the world, and it is a day wasted.
Remember the dash, the little line between the date of birth and the day of passing. If it can’t be filled in a memorable manner, then you have not been trying.
Guy sounds like he was a real prick, whole family and everybody who knew him is glad he’s dead.
Some people just need killing.
I have a friend whose mother passed away and while they did not print an obituary like that, I was told by one of the sisters-in-law, that the family felt the same way.
They were just more tactful about not announcing it.
Obviously, the family never heard common advices about speaking ill of the dead, respecting elders or silence if you can’t say anything nice about someone.
This speaks worse for the family than it does for “Popeye”.
Bkmrk.
Beaten down enough by his own choices, life, and a family that despised him, I’m sure he could have sunk that low.
Sad.
In his last days he wasn’t a threat. A wise family could have forgiven him and helped him through his final days on earth. They may have saved him from eternal damnation.
I guess they had better things to do.
I would like VFW honors and then I expect yall to party and move on.
At that point whats mine is yours and I hope none if that is sorrow
Is anyone else able to link to the obituary from the funeral home? I keep getting page not found.
