Dr. Wie-Hock “Willie” Soon of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics addressed a gathering of the American Freedom Alliance on Thursday night at the Luxe Hotel, describing the current state of debate about climate change as “spitting science in the face” and “treating science like a piece of rubbish.”
Mixing humor and science, he entertained the gathering as he made the case for skepticism about climate change.
He began by mocking the degree to which carbon dioxide was treated like a toxic gas by proponents of radical policies on climate change. “Next it will be oxygen, it will be anything that you want on the chemical table,” he joked.
“The Sun is a primary driver of climate change — and has a far greater impact than changes in CO2,” he said, in a slide presented to the packed audience of about 100 conservatives.

I heard today on KABC radio from radio host Doug McIntrye that there is no question that the earth is warming.
He must have missed the snow storms back east.
Fools who bought into AGW in the first place are just going to fade away with nary an apology. I’m still waiting for the inevitable ice age that we freaked out about in the 60s. And that guy never admitted his error either.

The next Ice Age is coming. We just don’t know when.
The earth has spent more time covered in ice than like it is now.
This interglacial period has lasted longer than most, it’s just a matter of time. The Sun will cycle down again, some think it’s already happening. Sun spots have been declining.
The solution to the CO2 “problem” is very simple.
Everybody who thinks it is a dangerous pollutant stops exhaling it.
Problem solved.
Simple test for global warming. The left changed the term from global warming to climate change. Because of this you can be certain there is no global warming going on.
Climate Change is not falsifiable. That’s why every single weather “event” is described as proof of it.
Scientific standards today demand you prove it isn’t than prove it is.
Vicious liberals (so called) have been trying to silence him for years. They were pressing “conflict of interest” charges against him about funding sources, seemed quite bogus but I don’t know if anything has been resolved with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics which was “investigating” him....
Right now North Texas is experiencing climate change. 34 degrees one night and 84 degrees 36 hours later and headed back down next week.
I’m betting it all has something to do with the Earth’s tilt and elliptical orbit. Mind you that’s just a guess.
Always wanted to show up at a Climate Change Rally and pass out plastic bags to the ‘progressives’ in the crowd. But then too many would accept the challenge and I’d feel bad.

That’s really a great idea. We could have brightly colored “carbon capture systems” made up and pass them out with instruction to put them over their heads and fasten tightly to ensure all that dangerous pollutant doesn’t escape.
Don’t feel bad, it’s Darwin at work.
It is a demonstration of the leftist’s arrogance and psychosis that they take a snapshot of the planet’s climate and decide that is the way it is supposed to be forever more.
And their arrogance brings them to the belief that they can control the immense natural forces that dictate global climate.
