Mexico is not Hell. Returning someone who has come to our country in contempt of our nation's laws and sovereignty, especially when they have violated other laws while she was living here, is quite appropriate.

Her children can either go to Mexico with their mother or if they are US citizens, be turned over to the custody of a responsible, law abiding adult here. It should be their mother's choice.

Final thought: What would the Republic of Mexico do to an American who had entered their country illegally and committed identity theft?
