Don’t ever give Donald Trump the opportunity to catch you in a lie, otherwise “Liar” becomes part of you name, just ask Ted Cruz or Hillary Clinton. And it is now the “lying” fakestream media, as well.
Now it is “Lying” Senator Richard Blumenthal.
Donald Trump sees no reason why he should practice comity with certain Senators and past Senators. And he has not, with some few of them.
Considering the state of affairs regarding the media, I would want to see the FULL CONTEXT of what Gorush actually said, not some parsed phrases picked for publication.
We know the media has a long history of cutting and editing with the intention of misleading the public.
Hey, I posted that Gorsuch thread from yesterday. And I said right away that many FReepers think Gorsuch is a loser. No better than Crazy Ginsberg. And sure enough, it wasn’t long before those FReepers came out.
Then some see this as a reverse psy ops maneuver. That Trump and Gorsuch are fooling the dems into believing that Gorsuch might not be that conservative after all. And so they will confirm him. To their detriment.
Different camps. Different POV’s Who knows? We all thought Roberts was all that great when he was nominated. Turns out that Harriet Myers might have been the right choice after all.
If you watch Blumenthal’s statement, it sounds like Gorsuch may have said it was disheartening, but the rest of the words were Blumenthal’s characterization of Trumps actions. Blumenthal made the statement sound like all the words were Gorsuch’s.
Except that Trump did not catch Ted Cruz in a “lie”. Arguably, a mistake. His treatment of Cruz was a needless blot on his otherwise good record.
Was it Harkin that blew his own legs off trying to toss a grenade in Nam? Or some other Dem libtard?
No. That was Mack Mattingly (Georgia). For years the story was that he hopped out of a chopper, dropped his grenade and bent down to pick it up and BLAM....two legs and an arm gone. One of his very first jump offs as I recall.
Many, many, many years later (running for reelection?) supposedly some other GI around at the time came up and spontaneously told him at some event somewhere “it wadn’t Mack’s own grenade.” Convenient. I didn’t believe that then, and I don’t believe that now.
I could tell some stories about him. My mother (rest her soul) was a VA nurse in Georgia at the hospital this putz went to. He acted out the real ass there every time he came.
Blumenthal is one of the 72.
I heard Cruz say over and over that “Donald wants single-payer socialized health care for every American.” I heard Cruz say over and over that “Donald told the New York Times that he is not going to build a wall.” That’s when Cruz lost me.

A man like Blumenthal with a dirty record should know that Trump is not going to walk around wearing a KICK ME sign
like George Bush just taking punches without dishing some out himself.

That would be Senator Blewthemall, towel boy and locker room peeping tom for the Harvard Swim Team. The serious question remains, why in blazes did Judge Gorsuch deign to be in the same room, corridor, building, zip code, with an arrant lying steaming bucket of pig entrails like Richie Blewthemall?????? Among the Bolshie members of the Senate, name one who is slimier, with the exception of McCain and his constant companion Linda Graham.
