Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) faked his Vietnam War service and lied about being the captain of the Harvard Swim Team.
Connecticut voters elected him to the US Senate anyway.
On Wednesday Blumenthal told reporters Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch told him that President Donald Trump’s tweets about the judiciary are “demoralizing” and “disheartening.”

Everytime Blumenthal is mentioned, his name should be prefaced with “Richard Blumenthal, of stolen valor fame.......
SO now that we know about Blumenthal I have to wonder if that story yesterday about Gorsuch was all a lie...was this done by the media to make sure that Gorsuch wasn’t the ‘right guy’???
If you look at all the appointments that President Trump has made, has there been one that hasn’t been good? No as I cannot recall, and all the dems have been ‘gnashing to teeth’ over all of them so far...so, with that in mind I think Gorsuch is the right man for the USSC...just saying...

He’s certainly not the first. IIRC Senator Tom Harkin lied about being a combat pilot with over 100 missions in Viet Nam. He was a cargo pilot that never did get shot at.
How in the heck do these people get elected? Elizabeth Warren, Blumenthal etc? The republicans must not have good candidates.
When a man from UT named Stringfellow was found lying about his World War II record, he was soon hounded from office c. 1953. Times have a changed, and the American people tolerate untruth by their favoties than they once did.
Republicans usually do have poor candidates in MA and CT, and probably nothing can change there.
Most Democrats are too lazy or too stupid to verify what their supposed leaders say. It’s just that simple.

I’d say that the comments were designed to raise questions among Trump supporters - many of whom seem poised to swallow anything the Left serves up as “reason for concern”...
