Trump's so-called "Muslim ban" from seven "Muslim majority" countries is a lot of MSM hooey, and here's why.

• Worldwide there are 50 "Muslim majority" countries, and 95% of all Muslims live in those "Muslim majority" countries.
  So, just counting countries, only 14% of Muslim majority countries are banned by Trump.
  86% are not banned.

• Looking at populations, 13% of all Muslims live in the seven countries Trump banned, 87% are not banned.

• Of the seven banned: Iran, Sudan and Syria are US listed as state sponsors of terrorism, while Iraq, Libya, Yemen & Somalia are high on lists of countries suffering from terrorism.

Now, the whole idea of these as "Muslim majority" countries is a serious propaganda lie.
They are instead Muslim dominated or Muslim exclusive.
Consider: of the seven countries six average 98% Muslim, with only Syria (87% Muslim) having more than 10% non-Muslims, and those are quickly fleeing.

In some of those Muslim dominated countries virtually the only non-Muslims are foreigners working & living there.

A case could easily be made to add another half dozen countries to Trump's list, and I'm pretty certain that would happen -- if or when we suffer terrorist attacks from them.

Yes, the case could be made to add more countries. The countries Trump identified have either non functioning governments or governments not cooperating with us such as
syria who we are at war with. If there is no way to vet immigrants, is that a good reason not to admit them? Trump just put in a delay where he should have banned them.

Read the koran sura 9.5 and let me know if any believers in this should be allowed to immigrate to our country.

Also, a Syrian Christian cannot come here. An Iraqi Christian cannot come here. If it was a ban on people from only one religion, why is it Christians are on hold in the same 7 nations as Muslims Are?

The “Muslim ban” is a flat-out lie on the face of it. A fair media would make those opposing PResident Trump into laughingstocks.

Trump did what he could because I am sure he was advised that a Muslim ban would never get through the courts (even though it should, as immigrants do not have constitutional religious freedom)

IMO a way to do it better than Obama’s list would be to take every country who has had a refugee arrested for engaging in or plotting terrorism, and ban travel from that country.
