Politifact is a fabrication from a Tampa Newspaper in its origins IIRC. I equate them with the same believability as Snopes.com. To my mind, the National Enquirer has more credibility.
Uh, the part of the statement in quotation marks is verbatim.
'Affected' wasn't within the quoted text.
This was a Delta problem. Nothing to do with the rollout.

Looking like independent ‘debunking sites’ Snopes and PolitiFact are leftist disinformation sites.
I can’t tell you how many times leftists have tried to use Snopes as a ‘I win’ play as if it were some independent arbiter.

The tweet and the BOR interview produced two different quotes.
These leftists debunking sites pop up early on Google searches. It’s manipulating information at a level Orwell couldn’t dream of - control what’s deemed a ‘fact’ to the public by manipulation of what’s considered news.
David Brock runs Correct the Record, which has morphed into Blue Nation, and dozens of other groups that target media and influence news.
There was a cabal of reporters, late night comedians (Colbert, etc) being fed info and stories to spin in various ways to elect Obama and are in place now to impeach Trump. The impeachment effort started before he was ever sworn in.
One thing they came up with was “fake news.” The theory was this: Trump’s supporters (rubes from the sticks - dreaded white people) were being fooled by fake news - morons that they are - and needed some ‘objective’ (David Brock and company) sources.
You saw ‘fake news’ thrown against Breitbart and other conservative sites.
However, the_donald and other sites started calling CNN fake news. This came to a head when Trump famously called CNN fake news at his first presser.
What they didn’t think through was that “fake news” means less trust in the press. “Oh, the press is publishing lies? I shouldn’t trust them.”
The already low trust of media went to 15% among Trump supporters (half of whom use Fox as their primary news source - again, it’s not really a conservative news source, but it’s better than ABC NBC CBS).
National polls show trust in media is at an all time low. So fake news fed into that. Instead of ‘conservative websites are fake news’ it became ALL media = fake news.
The orders went out and the NYT etc. said “stop using the phrase fake news.”
I actually saw Seth Meyers on that night lecturing his audience to stop using the phrase “fake news.” “Fake news has jumped the shark.”
Brock had sent out the marching orders of the day to the various media puppets.
Of course, the genie was out of the bottle. Trump supporters had completely coopted the ‘fake news’ attack and stuck it to CNN, NYT, WaPo, etc. and to this day ANY false story is exposed on the_donald with the hashtag FAKENEWS.
Interesting how that that boomeranged on the left.

I decided that it's time for a short refresher on how this whole Obama birth certificate scandal began.A poster on another thread asked "What is Politifact?"
My answer was:
Politifact is the political blog at the St. Petersburg Times in Florida.
Coincidentally, Politifact is the news organization that started the whole Obama birth certificate scandal.
From April 18, 2008: No Muhammed or Mohammed in Obama's name:
We have now searched every public record we can access and find nothing to support the notion that Obama has a second middle name of "Muhammed" or "Mohammed."We have a copy of Obama's marriage certificate from the Cook County Bureau of Vital Statistics in Illinois.
We looked at Obama's driver's license record in the state of Illinois...
We searched property records for Obama...
We also found Obama's registration and disciplinary record with the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
We tried to obtain a copy of Obama's birth certificate, but his campaign would not release it and the state of Hawaii does not make such records public.
