Do you know anyone who has decided to let someone else manage their finances? Just before Christmas, Obama finalized new rules banning Social Security recipients from buying a gun if they have trouble managing their finances.
On Thursday, the House of Representatives voted 235-180 to overturn that rule, with just two Democrats voting with the majority. This week, members of the Senate will face the same vote.
Under the Congressional Review Act, Congress has 60 days to pass a resolution overruling the regulation.
About 10% of all people 65 and older risk being classified as "financially incompetent" — about 4.2 million in all.

A lot of congress critters can’t handle their own finances let alone the nation’s.
Where did that jackass of a former president get this idea??? Somewhere between the 7th and 8th hole I’d wager.

Many people are simply mathematically impaired. Just thinking back to K-12 a long time ago.

I don’t believe it was just older people who were declared unable to manage their finances. Those who voluntarily gave up their finance management to someone else were also prohibited from owning a gun. You could allow someone else that you trusted to take over your finances and still be perfectly capable of owning a gun. Obama’s ban took away your right.

although I don’t agree with Obama gun ban, I do think that people who lose their monies to a payee often have poor judgment and would need a second look before blessing them with guns.
Democrats deserve to be put out with the rest of the garbage.
Meanwhile, I’m getting ready to inquire at the base I use about the prognosis for allowing us to carry while on base.
Sick as a dog, running a 103 temp, broke 2 toes the night before my CCW class, vision was blurry from the fever, I still passed. Don’t tell me seniors are incompetent with a gun? Even with out my glasses I can hit center mass. Doesn’t matter the income either, my elderly Father in Law was poor as dirt, and could hit a rabbit on the run, that was food for the table.
