During the Saturday “AM Joy” broadcast on MSNBC, MSNBC contributor Toure said black-on-black crime is not the biggest issue for black Americans at this time.

It is not just Chicago.
It is inherent in every urban black cultue glorified through ethnic musical forms.
This explains -- perfectly -- why there is so much black-on-black crime in Chicago (and elsewhere).
It also explains why white people don't give a sh!t about it.
Here’s the issue. One cannot hold a job where it is impossible to get to work safely. A child cannot learn in a school dominated by gangs and thugs. The police cannot do their job when the victims of crime are their enemy. Without civil society nothing can improve.
Poverty does not cause crime. Crime causes poverty.

Toure might be right, psychologically speaking.
Blacks stuck in bad communities need to aspire to something.
Which is more attractive? Taking whitey’s stuff in the indeterminate future, or cleaning up locally? I submit the first is more aspirational, politically.
Toure needs an IQ enhancement.
I don’t really understand the complaint of wealth inequality. Do they think Monopoly should be real life? Everyone starts life with the same amount of money? What happens when someone buys Boardwalk before you do?

Cleaning up and taking action requires effort that a lot of people do not want to do. Being given something, that you feel you’re entitled to, is so much easier.

War on Drugs, so-called better public schooling...these are straw-man arguments designed to obfuscate the source of the problems affecting black Americans.

Yeah black America is a failure. That is, the part of black America which has been doomed by the Great Society Welfare State. Stop paying girls to get pregnant and the problem will slowly resolve its self. There are black people who work for a living. There are responsible black people in America. The percentage of responsible black people needs to increase.
