Obama Pentagon Official Says Anti-Trump Military Coup Now Possible Says Trump ‘as crazy as everyone feared’; claims military overthrow and ‘an insane order’ both ‘frightening’

A former Defense Department official under the Obama administration has raised the specter of a military coup to remove President Donald Trump from power.
In an editorial penned for Foreign Policy, senior Pentagon policy official Rosa Brooks publicly suggested a military insurrection against the Trump administration may be the only option to oust one of the most divisive presidents in American history.
“Donald Trump’s first week as president has made it all too clear: Yes, he is as crazy as everyone feared,” Ms. Brooks wrote. “[One] possibility is one that until recently I would have said was unthinkable in the United States of America: a military coup, or at least a refusal by military leaders to obey certain orders.”
For the first time in her career in public service, including three years as senior counselor to the Pentagon’s policy chief from 2009 to 2011, “I can imagine plausible scenarios in which senior military officials might simply tell the president: ‘No, sir. We’re not doing that.’”
Ms. Brooks‘ editorial comes as a recent poll by Public Policy Polling group found that 40 percent of registered voters support Mr. Trump’s impeachment. In addition, 52 percent of voters polled said they would rather have President Obama in the Oval Office, opposed to the 43 percent who support the Trump presidency.
In the editorial, Ms. Brooks noted that Mr. Trump’s “thin-skinned, erratic, and unconstrained” approach to defense matters of defense could put top U.S. military leaders in a position where they would be forced to execute orders that may be “dangerously unhinged” from a basic understanding of national security.

I thought that it was when it began. But since nothing happened to those advocating for it, I suppose that it was not. Now if the same thing had been said about the muslim that occupied the White House for the past 8 years, courtesy of the parasites and traitors, I have no doubt where those that said it would be.
I think that a lot of us had the same thought during Obama’s years as Ms. Rosa Parks here, but kept them to ourselves, particularly people with any military background...if it wasn’t going to happen then, forget about it happening now.

This sounds fake. My son is career military. A significant majority of his compatriots are pro Trump.

IMHO the Trump election was brought to the forefront, again, what the rest of the world fears the most - the unpredictability of American politics. Every four years the overall trend of American politics, domestic and international, can suddenly change. So all long range planning - political and financial - goes out the window.
It happened twice in the last half of the Twentieth Century and has already happened once in the Twenty-first Century. And if the liberal/socialist/progressive/democrat cabal have their way it will happen again within the next eight years.
BTW - these sudden changes are what has made America what it is today. Overall, I think the ability to suddenly and radically change direction is a very good thing regardless of what the LMSM/liberal/socialist/progressive/democrat cabal say.

As a retired pilot and one who still has many connections with the military, no one, NO ONE that I know is against Trump.
Mention Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch, however, will release a tsunami of four letter words describing that smegma-lipped pond scum as the vermin that he is.
The left is upping the ante, their street troops are just following orders, callateral damage acceptable (ala break a few eggs).
I'd say that if the Left/Prog revolt (judges, gov employees, street thugs) is not put down within the next 10 to 15 days, we are going to experience the next level of their violence against America.
Outside of urban areas (not even suburbs) they are de-fanged; they control areas many people never see anyway.
