One of the reasons given by Trump for renegotiating the terms of NAFTA involved "security" -- and this was a specific reference to Canada. Canada doesn't undermine the U.S. labor market as a Third World dump the way Mexico does, but since 9/11 the U.S. has had a lot of concerns about Canadian immigration practices. Specifically, there is a huge risk in Canada's bizarre concession to the provincial government of Quebec -- in which Quebec has their own process for vetting and approving French-speaking immigrants as part of the Canadian immigration process.
What this means is that immigrants from former French colonies like Lebanon, Algeria, and Morocco are given priority for immigration into Quebec for no other reason than their French language.
If the story about one of the attackers in Quebec City being a Moroccan immigrant who settled in Quebec under that agreement, then we're seeing a classic example of why NAFTA may not work for the U.S. and Canada.
One was from Morocco? Is that rumor or fact.
The msm spin will last forever.
But Trump will still be in office or 1400 more days :)
I wonder if they were looking for specific people with that ban.
