The ACLU is getting multiple reports that federal customs agents are siding with President Trump and willfully ignoring a Brooklyn federal judges demand that travelers from seven Muslim countries not be deported from the nations airports.
The courts order could not be clearer they need to comply with the order, Omar Jadwat, director of the ACLUs Immigrants Rights project, told The Post late Saturday. ADVERTISING
Its enough to be a serious concern, Jadwat said of the reports.
Jadwat and other ACLU lawyers had earlier Saturday night won an emergency stay of Trumps deportation order from Brooklyn Federal Judge Ann Donnelly.

I doubt that they’re IGNORING the order...it’s just that they’re not EXTENDING the order.
The order prevents deportation of 200 or so people that are here, or are in transit to this country. It does not, and cannot, prevent anyone further back in the process, such as in their home countries, from being denied boarding, and therefore entry, into this country. In less than 24 hours, the flow of people from countries identified in the EO will simply cease.
I am not sure if the airports have detention centers but they may have.
As another president said to another judge....Judge X has made his decision, now let him enforce it.
President = Andrew Jackson
Judge = Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

Historically accurate, and exactly what President Trump should say to this lefty trash in Neu Yawk!
Omar Jadwat, director of the ACLUs
That’s part of the problem right there. It will not be enough to stop bringing in more. We have to get rid of the ones we have already. All of them.

Well and truly said. Time to clean out the trash. Hunt them down and get them out of here NOW!
That lefty skank should be told to take her court order and shove it where the sun don’t shine.
ACLU, the jihadis best friend.
The judge has no legal grounds for his ruling. The US Immigration Act is very clear as to what the President can do.
At issue here is a blanket change in policy that affected a very small number of people holding valid U.S. visas and green cards, and who were already in transit. Their paperwork got revoked, essentially, while they were in flight. That's just shabby.
If Trump wants to refuse visa applications from suspect countries until further notice, fine. (I agree.) If he wants to make any further visas contingent on much tougher screening, fine. (I agree.) If he wants to sharply reduce total numbers of legal immigrants, fine. (I agree.) If he wants to cancel the visas of foreign nationals who have not yet flown, fine -- as long as there is a reasonable notification period and a way to warn or stop them before they get on a plane. But what we should not do -- and what is causing the current ruckus -- is to allow some guy with valid papers to board a plane and fly halfway around the world, and cancel his papers while he's in transit, for reasons utterly unrelated to anything he did.
That's a mistake, even if this action can be made to stand up in court. I checked the DHS website yesterday, which said the U.S. granted entry to over 181 million foreign travelers in 2015. (I suppose the 2016 figures are not yet fully processed.) We are not a sub-Saharan gonzo clown show where nothing is certain. The world kinda, sorta expects that U.S. papers mean what they say. If we want to change policy on something, fine, but in a non-emergency situation, we should allow a reasonable notification period. The people involved in the current hoo-hah were already in transit. That should be a safe harbor -- unless, of course, we have some specific cause for concern about a particular person.
That is an important point. We are hearing the screeching from the ACLU, CAIR, various other activist groups, and the propaganda media. I have zero confidence they are reporting the situation reliably. That said, I still think Trump's EO should not have affected people already in transit, or green card holders who had traveled abroad confident that their green card would be honored on their return.
This judge made the ruling. Now, let’s see him/her enforce it.
FU Spitwad.
Sovereign nations have awesome powers when they choose to use them, but what I describe here would be patently unfair to you. We should not do that to a green card holder who went home to wherever to visit his family. If he stopped by at a jihadi training center to sharpen his beheading technique, and U.S. authorities have become aware of it, that's a different matter, but without any adverse information, a U.S. green card should be honored.
Where was the ACLU when Obama’s lawyers were ignoring court orders? I seem to recall some Judge in Texas insisting they provide info that they never id come up with.
Surprise, Surprise.
At some point, the left is going to get tired of melting down and not getting their way.
>LOL. Just like Andrew Jackson said....let the court enforce their ruling!
President Andrew Jackson Trump!
>At some point, the left is going to get tired of melting down and not getting their way.
More like the money’s going to run out.
** Yes, it is**
Lol, your words of wisdom will shine in the twitterverse!
Why does the ACLU receive taxpayer funding? Anyone?
If they actually went about their stated mission of securing and ensuring civil liberties for all US citizens, I wouldn’t be opposed, myself. As it stands, they’re oddly unconcerned for the civil liberties of “unprotected” classes.
But when it’s same sex “marriage” and transgender bathroom/locker room access, that’s a different story.
