The American Civil Liberties Union announced Saturday evening that a federal court in New York had issued an emergency stay on President Trumps executive order banning immigration from seven predominantly Muslim countries. The courts decision, which will affect people who have been detained in airports, came after the ACLU and other activist groups filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of two Iraqis who were held at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as a result of the order.
I hope Trump enjoys losing. Hes going to lose so much were going to get sick and tired of his losing, ACLU national political director Faiz Shakir told Yahoo News shortly after the decision was announced.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the court ruling.

He must go Andrew Jackson on them.
Islam is a war plan.
Andrew Jackson once pointed out to the Supreme Court that the President is CIC of the military. That Trumped the court system, so to speak.
This reaction is not a surprise to team Trump. It explains why the ban is so limited. It is limited to a case they can easily win in court. Stupid libs jumped all over it and played into Trump’s hand. Once SC has upheld the ban then they will begin adding additional countries.
Keep talking smack “Faiz”. We’ll be back when this gets overturned.
We are seeing the “poverty industry” gear up to bring more unproductive “clients” into this country. The teachers’ unions need students or they’ll lose their jobs as schools close, the whole social services racket will fold without a constant stream of clients for “public” housing, and bodegas want our tax dollars funneled through these instant welfare recipients (especially those with multiple wives bearing separate broods).
Too bad the ACLU doesn’t support the 2A....
ACLU vows: “Death to America!”
So sez Faiz.

Fake news from Yahoo news.
The ACLU is a legal racketeering outfit and should be in Trump’s crosshairs.
I hope Trump enjoys losing. Hes going to lose so much were going to get sick and tired of his losing, ACLU national political director Faiz Shakir...
This ####sucker filthy arab stinking muslim pig POS.
He’s gonna find out what losing means and it’s gonna be a LOT MORE ####ING harsh than he ever imagined.
We didn’t vote Trump in to have some POS muslim mother ####er laugh at us.
I’m gonna find this #### on twitter or facebook and tell him things the only way I know how.
I keep FORGETTING to NOT check FR before I go to sleep!!
These people are delusional! The actual order only say the those detained could not immediately be sent back to their country of origin. It will be overturned immediately, because the plaintiffs have no standing at law in this case. Jonathan Turley said as much on CNN tonight, much to “Popies” dismay. ;-)
Not tired of winning yet!
Until 1965 we had a quota system that limited the amount of immigrants from each country.
Ted Kennedy and the Democrats lied and passed a law overturning it, in an attempt to change the demographics of the USA to majority non-white and democrat.
Trump is the ONLY high elected official in the last 50 YEARS to try and put a STOP to the INVASION.
The future of our children and the nation depend upon his success.
Trump's order didn't require these people be detained anyway!
ACLU 'won' against the Obama DHS officials who set them up to win.
The ACLU is a communist front organization allied with mozlum terrorists.
The ACLU needs to go.
Wrong, wrong, wrong ACLU!
The NARROW ruling ONLY clears the airports.
The ruling stops DHS from forcibly turning back a group of current visa holders arriving from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
