Union electrical workers at a Philadelphia job site hung a huge barrier welcoming President Donald Trump to the city, highlighting his high support among rank and file members of skilled unions.
The union members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers unfurled their banner, which said “Buy American” and “Welcome to Philly Mr. President.”
Fox News contributor and pollster Frank Luntz caught the Thursday display and tweeted about it.

During the election, support for Trump rose among union households while support for Hillary fell in those same homes. According to the Columbus Dispatch newspaper:

Trump is log splitting the AFL-CIO right down the middle.
Trade and manufacturing unions are moving towards him BIGTIME, while the public employee unions cling furiously to the Democrats.
There is a local radio show run by union organizers.
Great fun to listen to their heads spin these days!
Kind of a big deal. I used to be in that union... many many years ago.... they are leftists, at least in the leadership.
Trump does well to persuade the rank and file to reject the Democrats.
You would be surprised at the number of IBEW rank and file workers who are republicans, or at least lean to the right. Unfortunately, the top leadership was highjacked by leftists and communists for their own personal gain.

IMO, the trade unions made a big mistake years ago when they joined up with the public unions.

Excellent point. That’s who president Trump have to bring on our side. The fatcats will give him lip service but ultimately they will be vigorously opposed to his agenda.

Yep. What many folks don't realize is that the state and national union leaders are NOT chosen by the membership. Those leaders are chosen by hand-picked committees. Sort of like how it was done in the old Soviet Union.
THere was a populist uprising last year in BOTH political parties.
Republicans let the voters decide.
Democrats let Hillary’s cabal decide.
Democrats turned their back on working men and women in favor of victim groups.
We need to clean up all the illegal voters within the next four years. Two years would be even better.
