Just days after The National Park Service (NPS) was forced to shut down its Twitter activity over two retweets the Department of the Interior deemed inconsistent with the agencys mission, the Twitter account for Badlands National Park in South Dakota seems to have gone rogue, tweeting numerous scientific facts about climate change that have since been deleted. The first tweet about climate science came at 11:40 a.m. local time Tuesday. It said: The pre-industrial concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was 280 parts per million (ppm). As of December 2016, 404.93 ppm.

Indeed. I am sick of these government nutjobs moralizing citizens to respect them and their Obamas when we are NOT even their workers! Yet they think they can brazenly disrespect their chain of command! Time to make a civic lesson of shame out of them!
Any guberment agent can go rogue, ie. they have the freedom to speak when fired, as civilians!
The Badlands are just that. Climate Change won’t turn it into the Goodlands.
Exactly.
They'll give you a cock-and-bull story about tree rings. ..
They’re doing it because President Trump issued the gag order to the EPA.
Simple question for all those “scientists” - how did they measure the pre-industrial CO2 level in the atmosphere?
Speaking of agents going rogue, anyone hear about the senior SS agent in Denver who said she refuses to “take a bullet” for President Trump?
So?
Scientific Facts without understanding of what the data means does not leat to enlightenment.
“does not leat to enlightenment.” = does not LEAD to enlightenment.
Sorry ‘bout that!
I saw that. Immediate dismissal should follow. When SS agents are dikes or muslims threatening the prez, it is game
over
The Badlands is a seriously unexpected, beautiful place. Sudden, expansive, lonely, and beautiful.
And thicker shells on sea creatures.
I take a lot of indoor CO2 measurements, and compare them to the outside at the time of my studies. I get 385 ppm. Levels have been much higher (Carboniferous Period) and the earth didn’t burn. They were as much as 20 times higher.
The earth is actually in a period of cooling, as measured over a very long period.

A fallacious statement is not a fact.
The Earths atmosphere is not a homogeneous mixture of gases. Some areas will have higher or lower concentrations of CO2 from time to time, season to season.
It is impossible to know precisely what the concentration of atmospheric gases are. The best you can say is that the average range of CO2 in the atmosphere is somewhere between X.XX and X.XX ppm.
In the preindustrial age (however you choose to define that term) the best date would have been highly localized to a small number of scientist who could measure CO2 concentrations.
Not exactly reliable data set when talking about global concentrations.
Do you mean Dendrochronology ?
Comparative study of tree rings to determine timeline
according to variable climatic conditions.
No. It’s a federal employee ‘self-deporting’...
Interesting.
I have read about something occurring with the sun, beginning in 2030. This is not my area. Do you know what this is? It has something to do with cooling.
My wife, who had never been west of the Missippi cried when we came to the edge of the Badlands to take the road down in and through it. Since then have seen the Tetons, Mt. Rainier, Grand Canyon, etc. But it was the Badlands that brought tears to her eyes.
We always take that diversion.
I had to laugh at the number 404.93 ppm number. The “.93” makes it a SWAG.
Deep down all lands are good.
