GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. -- Ricky Javon Gray was put to death by lethal ejection at 9.42 p.m. Wednesday at the Greensville Correctional Center in Greensville County.
Grays last appeal was denied hours before his execution when the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Gray's request for a stay of execution.
When officials asked Gray if he had any final words, he replied nope, according to CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett, who observed the execution in the death chamber.
Burkett reports Gray declined his final meal before the execution.
Gray and his nephew Ray Dandridge shocked the Richmond community in January 2006 -- when they killed seven people in six days.
The 39-year-old was convicted of murdering parents Kathryn and Bryan Harvey, and their two young daughters, Ruby and Stella, on New Year's Day 2006.
The Harveys were found bound, beaten, and stabbed inside the basement of their Woodland Heights home. The home was also set on fire.
Gray received the death penalty for murdering the children.
Gray was also involved, though not convicted, in the murders of Ashley Baskerville, 21; her mother, Mary Tucker, 47; and stepdad, Percyell Tucker, 55.
Dandridge was given a life prison sentence after he was convicted for the killings of the Baskerville-Tucker family, five days after the Harvey murders.
Ashley Baskerville was with Gray and Dandridge during the Harvey family murder.

The family he murdered. The daughters were aged 9 and 4.
I remember reading about this like it was yesterday. What an awful, inhuman crime this was. Just horrible.
Good, he’s roasting in hell right now.
People like him are why I lock my doors all day long.
Good riddance and glad to see my old home Virginia still using the death penalty. Yay, Virginia.
It took 11 years for human justice to catch up with this animal. Now it’s God’s turn.
Been waiting for this one.
The death penalty was deserved.
My friend can look out his window and see the Harvey house. It still sickens me.
Executing a black criminal is perfectly fine as long as the death warrant is signed by a Democrat governor.
I had heard about the crimes since I lived in Northern VA at the time. I did not realize they went and killed their girlfriend accomplice afterwards.
Which probably means that Gray was going to kill Danderidge at the earliest possible moment. May be why Danderidge turned states evidence against Gray.
So many murders . . . so few executions.
This scum has been around for a decade, supported by taxpayers.
We need to go back to law enforcement like the old West - fast and effective.
One of several brutal black on white home invasions where the white family was tortured and murdered. Other exceptional horrific white family murders occurred in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. All have been largely ignored by our Corrupt National Liberal News Media to protect their narrative that only whites can be violently racists.
I’m so proud. It’s an election year so the dems in Richmond didn’t want to be on the wrong side of this.
This murdering psychopath gets his due. Good.
Interesting how these POS's who commit such heinous crimes cling to their own misbegotten lives so tenaciously. If they had even a spark of humanity, they'd willingly surrender to their well-deserved punishment and trust to God to save their souls. But they don't do that. They don't have any souls to save. They kill and fight to stay alive like the base animals they are.
Enjoy hell, Gray.
It always pisses me off when these animals go on about their unhappy childhood.......a bad upbringing has been around since the beginning and still is not a reason for butchery of innocent human beings. There is a place for this bastard.....I hope he is there!!!
Yes, he did. Now, as others have pointed out, the Lord will take a rather large chunk out of his rear.
Finally got his clemency
11 years on death row waiting....on the tax payers dollar.
Ridiculous. This has got to change.
