CNN, and for that matter the media generally, should not expect business as usual. Trump is not going to beg them for attention or their affection. Second, Darwin is in play - the media will need to adapt to a POTUS that speaks DIRECTLY to the American people or not survive.

Must have found the cult of his personality and allure of his innate brainpower too much to resist. Can happen to any daily media mouthpiece with a mic in hand. And usually does.
In some ways CNN’s reporting was worse than Buzzfeed’s. By publishing the whole so-called “dossier”, Buzzfeed allowed people to see for themselves how ludicrous the charges were, and therefore how false. CNN on the other hand, just mentioned the info, and said that the info was sourced from someone who the intelligence community previously had deemed credible. Ergo, there is no way that regular citizens wouldn’t think that there is something awful out there on Trump, and that it’s been deemed credible by our intelligence agencies. Now let people’s imagination run wild as to the info!
