Monica Crowley said Monday that she will not take a role in the new Trump administration in the wake of plagiarism accusations, according to the Washington Times.

No surprise.
Ms. Crowley, who had been tapped to be senior director of strategic communications at the National Security Council, had been dogged in recent weeks by questions about whether she lifted portions of her past written work from other writers. Her move seemed designed to keep that from becoming a distraction as the Trump team prepares to take office.
The only consolation is, how many other respected pundits have yet to have their publications so scrutinized?
The amount of plagiarism would probably be striking.

I hope after the heat dies down, if she still wants to have a role, that one can be found for her. She's good.

She’s a plagiarist. I still like her - always have. I even think she would have done well at her job, but she probably did what was the best thing to do here.

Well, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her on Martha McCallum’s new show since it’s all about Trump’s first 100 days. Crowley knows all about Trump and the search for good cabinet and administration officials.
I like her as a commentator, but wasn’t a fan of her WABC radio show. It’s sad that she did that.

Funny how the media is all in an uproar over plagiarism, yet swoons over MLK who plagiarized his thesis and even his I Have a Dream speech.
Yeah, but this is not the first time with Monica, and as much as I like her, there has to be some fire behind the smoke. CNN claimed something like 50 instances, and even if it’s 20% of that, it’s too many to be coincidence.
I haven’t read the book or researched it myself, but if there really was nothing to these allegations I doubt she would be giving up.
She has more class than Joe Biden, that’s for sure.

if she is an intentional plagiarist, it should be obvious (there would be many lengthy instances to cite from multiple authors).
if she just happened to match a few other writers or depended a lot on common cliches and boilerplate, well this is tragic for our side.
if she was innocent, she’s not doing Trump a favor by falling on her sword like a gope. she should have stood her ground.
i hope we get some more info on this.
