During his interview on CBS’s Sunday “60 Minutes” broadcast, President Barack Obama blamed the “corrosive nature” of talk radio and fake news for providing two of the most unpopular presidential candidates in history.
“You had two of the most unpopular presidential candidates selected by the two parties in history. Doesn’t that say something’s wrong, something serious is wrong?” host Steve Kroft asked.
Obama responded, “It indicates that there is a lot of cynicism out there. It indicates that the corrosive nature of everything from talk radio to fake news to negative advertising has made people lack confidence in a lot of our existing institutions. I think it indicates, at least on the Democratic side, that we’ve got more work to do to strengthen our grassroots networks.”
“In some ways, the Democratic Party hadn’t constructed itself to get that message out to the places it needed to get to,” he continued. “The Tea Party I have huge disagreements with, obviously. But I give them credit for having activated themselves. And they made a difference in terms of moving the Republican Party, in terms of moving the country in a particular direction. It’s a direction I disagreed with. But it showed that, in fact, you get involved, if your voice is heard it has an impact.”

the truce was always based on the criminal enterprise known as the Clinton foundation and the money it churned for politicians. I think you are going to see a fight now between the corrupt Clinton wing and the crazy leftist Obama wing of the party. both trying to blame the other for the shape there party is in.
But Hillary didn't win, so all the Left could do is complain about it, with no enforcement mechanism. And even that went wrong, as the "Fake News" label was quickly attached to the routinely dishonest leftist media, where it stuck like Superglue. In fact, the censorship effort failed so completely that the NY Times removed "Fake News" from its own lexicon. Because everybody knows who really produces the fake news.
It seems nobody bothered to explain all this to Mr. Obama, most likely because it no longer matters much what he thinks or says.

Yep I’ll agree with Obama on this one, that fake news is destroying this country. It has been a problem since after Watergate. That fake news geared up even stronger when news organizations refused to vet Obama during his first run for the Presidency. It continued accelerating higher from there. Though there have been numerous examples to point to, one of the most egregious was their acceptance of Obama’s bogus long form birth certificate which was an obvious fake, and their fake news regarding the lunacy of birthers.
Actually Obama, Reps such as John Lewis stating things like: ‘I Don’t See Trump as a Legitimate President’ undermines democracy.
