Ah, that’s right. I forgot you goofed and made a MORNING appointment. LOL! Hope that went well.

I ran through all the eagle cams this afternoon, checking in on everyone. No snow in TN. Not cold enough for it. It’s drizzled a little in the northern part and there are still some tiny drops falling at Dale Hollow. Occasionally you can see wisps of fog roll past the cam.

I checked ‘em all day....kind of boring. No one at either of the Decorah nests, the eaglets were in food comas on both the FL nests and lots of egg sitting in GA. Glad you were able to see the bands on the Latvian eagles. They are so darn gorgeous!

This 1958 recording from Ahmet Ertegun’s Atlantic label shows Bobby at the beginning of his career before his Café Carlyle years. Bobby was a genius at the piano.

The show attempted to create comedy out of Nazis and Communists to the point of having an actor playing Stalin lead a dance to “The Internationale.” After the Hitler-Stalin Pact, this finale was dropped, and the war pretty much ended its run. It’s a period piece. Thanks to the Cold War, it wasn’t revived until the late Eighties when people could laugh about these things again.

This 1939 recording gets down and dirty, which is quite a change from the foxtrot records of the era.
