LEAVE IT TO ME!The show attempted to create comedy out of Nazis and Communists to the point of having an actor playing Stalin lead a dance to “The Internationale.” After the Hitler-Stalin Pact, this finale was dropped, and the war pretty much ended its run. It’s a period piece. Thanks to the Cold War, it wasn’t revived until the late Eighties when people could laugh about these things again.
